Frisco Lightweight Clear Vinyl Dog Raincoat

Cute but flawed

While I love the idea of having a clear raincoat for my beautiful pup, this was not worth it. We got the xxl which is the usual size my girl uses from this brand (wish they made them bigger though). Anyway this doesn't stay on, there's no give, the Velcro detaches from itself easily so doesn't even stay on while she's outside. I'm glad they finally made a hood that stays up though. Lastly, this does not hang well on a hook, it needs a loop added to it so you can actually hand it up well. I also don't like that there isn't a spot to attach a leash but not considering that in my rating since it's not described as having one, just a note.

Works great but..

Fits my 6 month Doberman with taped ears really well, kept her dry and she didn’t mind wearing it at all. Downside for me is it ripped at the neck really easily where the leash hole is and now I need a new one. Wish it was a little more durable. Only was able to use it a few times before the tear. Bummer.

I’d rather look silly than be soaking wet!

Hi, this is Bori, the pure bred SATO from Puerto Rico who was adopted by 2Daddies and I now live in Boca Raton, FL. So, I used to have a yellow rain jacket and it ripped after awhile and my daddy bought me this clear plastic one. I like it much more! Now when I go out in heavy rains people and other dogs can see me, what I really look like (I’m rather handsome, so I’ve been told). Sometimes when daddy is trying to put the raincoat on I wiggle a little bit and he gets frustrated. Well, if it’s frustrating for him, how does he think I feel? Overall I am real happy with my rain jacket, and a lot of people say “oh he’s so cute” and I agree. By the way, how did I do with my typing? It isn’t easy to get my paws in the right place on this little screen.

Impressed

I am so impressed with Chewy. I had requested an exchange for a different size dog raincoat, instead of sending it back to them, they requested I give it to a needy pup, and they sent the requested exchange without extra charge.

Love this clear plastic raincoat for my 7 pound chihuahua. I live in rainy Seattle area and it fits her longer body and keeps her dry.

Works well, but ripped.

This rain jacket was easy to put on and fit well, kept my dog fairly dry. Unfortunately the leash hole isn't reinforced very well, so it ripped when he tugged.

Not made for rain

I recommend buying a sturdier raincoat if you intend on taking your dog for a walk in the rain. This coat is made for very light drizzle.

True to size chart

I measured the back of our dog and it was around 17 inches (from bottom of neck to butt), which gave me a large from the chart. It fits very well and there is a hole for the leash.

Sizing

Ordered a small for my 10 pound Yorker. It’s a bit big. Otherwise it worked well.
