Needed a winter jacket for our newly arrived rescue boxer from Texas. The XL fit this 45 lb girl with 27 " chest perfectly. Id recommend it for temps above 20, though, on a short haired dog, as it is not heavy enough for extended hikes in 10 to 15 degrees. However, it is perfect for the temps right now in Northern New Hampshire. In colder temp, you could put a sweater under it. That would be good for bitter cold.
I live in Norther Nevada at a higher than average elevation so when it snows here I get twice as much as those at valley floor do. I have 2 pities who love running around in the snow but as soon as you tell them to do their business all of a sudden its too cold outside lol. I got each of my puppers a coat and now they think they're Huskies! They love them so much, when they see them get pull off the coat rack they run to the back door and wait never so patiently. These coats are water proof, so amazingly warm, and I LOVE how easy they are to put on and take off with the zipper right on top! I started looking for one in my size next! As always, Frisco got it right on the warm doggy nose!
Older Labrador w/28" back; XXXL. This worked perfect in the rain the other day. This one does twist around a little bit, but doesn't seem to bother her. I got this for camping and it will be perfect. What I don't like is how large the armholes are because I had to get a XXXL and it isn't a stretchy material. The armholes don't seem to negatively affect her as she stays warm/dry and she has lots of room to move around w/o hinderance. Washes up nicely. We do wear a harness over the jacket, I had to loosen it up some.
I did the measurements carefully, and I bought a sweater from the same manufacturer. It was recommended that I get XXXL for my dog. The sweater fit her well, but she was swimming in this bomber jacket. Chewy doesn't take returns but will credit me and I will donate the jacket to a shelter. I'll try purchasing the next size down. Quality looks good.
My dog. seems to like this coat a lot. It has a zipper closure so it gives him a nice snug fit. Just wish it had more colors such as a high visibility orange or lime color. It comes in khaki green only.
We needed a new jacket for our dog, he had outgrown his puppy vest. Got this one at a reasonable price. it is easy to put on, he doesn't mind wearing it and the size is just right. He wore it for several hours out in the snow when we were hiking and he seemed to stay warm.
I got this for my cat, who likes to go outside and get himself dirty. I was hoping the jacket would prevent the leaves and debris from getting on his fur, however, he was able to wriggle out of it somehow and he would always come home without it! So I would go outside and sure enough, I'd find the jacket somewhere in the grass. So, although it's good quality and very stylish, I would not recommend this for a cat if you're shopping for similar reasons 😀 The material makes it easy for them to slip out of and the arm holes are wide enough for them to contort out of it.
Love the jacket. Had to order a size smaller than the chart advised, reorder was smooth. The only issue is the zipper does not "lock" at the top and keeps separating open. Fix that issue and it's a 10! 's a 10!
Fits well, appears to be well made. Our pup (American Bulldog) certainly likes it and it keeps her comfy on cold days in the house and outside. A little different to put on a vest with the zipper on the back but not a problem. Only drawback is that I wish they used a locking zipper as it tends to creep down a little.
These jackets are exactly what I wanted, easy to get on the pups and they love them!! Super cozy. I got a L for my 45lb heeler mix and an XL for my like 57lb hound mix, they fit great!
