Good winter coat
The XXL fit my 80 lb pit bull mix over his harness. Has a hook in the back for the leash, and it’s nice and warm - we love it!
Best dog coat I’ve ever purchased!
This coat not only looks adorable on my little 11 lb. Yorkie, but it’s incredibly easy to put on and remove. The fur lining seems to be very warm and thick. They used the quality faux fur that’s super soft and smooth to the touch, so it actually feels like real fur (rather than the kind made with extremely thin micro-fibers that knot and pill when it gets wet or used, if you know what I mean.) I would have easily spent double on this one if I saw it in person at the store first. Sizing is spot on, we got a Small.
My dog is 40 lbs. This is not a large. This barely fits on my dog.
Fantastic looks, soft, warm. Caveat: extra roomy cut & rather short in the back.
First of all, this coat/cape is gorgeous. She looks like she belongs to the jet set, and should be prancing along Park Avenue. The lining is incredibly soft, and it's snuggly warm despite being relatively lightweight. The only caveat is that its cut is optimized for a big chest and short back. If that's your dog, it'll look stunning. If your dog is slim, definitely choose a size down. But it's already short in the back, so in the smaller size it may end at mid-back. Tricky. We own many Frisco coats, including two sizes of this model alone. The small is extremely loose on her slim frame, even over a thick sweater, whereas in most Frisco models she best fits a medium. We have this coat in medium too, but that one is so enormous on her right now that she literally steps out of it while strapped in as tightly as possible (that approach sucks anyway, since 6" of spare straps are left flopping around at neck and belly). She's growing like a weed, so hopefully she'll fit this medium eventually too. Meantime, on extra chilly days the small Manhattan Tweed is the go-to to combine with the bulkiness of Frisco's marled knit turtleneck sweater. That pairing is pretty effective at keeping the coat's loose fit from sliding around too much on her frame. Dang does it look nice. And she loves romping around in the snow with that pair protecting her.
I have a pocket bully who is very difficult to find harnesses/jackets that fit her properly, she’s thin but very muscular and short. I decided to get her a new jacket because her last one fit okay but the velcro fell off sometimes and because of that, I decided to just get this one based off the price, since we don’t normally have a whole lot of luck with online clothing. I am SO impressed. Not only is the material so much better than expected (it feels well made and the lining is SO soft) but it fits her better than any clothing item I’ve gotten in the past. She hates wearing things so I’m hoping that with the softness and better fit will help make it not so annoying for her to wear when it’s too cold out not to. I honestly wish I had the human version of this! If it helps her measurements are 26 (chest) 18 (neck) and I got her the X Large.
Great quality fabric: outside texture like a human tweed coat; inside lining feels like rabbit hair even though it’s faux. A little disappointed that my 6 pound Chihuahua is slightly smaller in the girth for the XSmall. (I did measure first.) My dog is fit and more on thin side.
Great warm coats
These coats are exactly what we needed. They're warm enough for the very cold winter we're having, and also protects them from snow and rain. The large is a little big for my doxie mix but the next size down is too small. Not the fault of the coat, it's just hard to fit the long shape of a dachshund.
Warm for Midwest cold
Received this gorgeous tweed coat just in time for temps to plummet. It's soft, very warm, and perfect for a long bodied dog. My pup doesn't allow anything to be put around his head so sweaters are not an option, but he doesn't seem to mind this style of coat due to it clasping around the front of the chest and ribs. It does have a pre-cut hole for a collar, but you will need to make one for a harness (unless you can clasp the ring close to the neck for a quick trip outside). Toby is 26lbs, long and stocky, and a large fits with plenty of room to spare.
Great Quality, Cute Style, Good Price
My 11-pound chihuahua mix doesn't like to wear dog clothing—but also doesn't like the winter cold! After trying a step-through vest with a zipper and a pull-on onesie—both of which she hated, and would extend our walk prep time by about 5 minutes every time just to coax her in—I wanted something that had no zippers, no buttons, no step-in holes, just an easy on/off velcro. Didn't care about how it looked, but I gotta say: Not only is this coat sooo easy to put on and off, but it is CUTE. The faux fur is incredibly soft, and the faux leather detailing doesn't look cheap at all. All the more amazing, considering the price. FYI my dog is long for a chihuahua but the medium was sold out so I went with the small and it fits great!
Tucker and I LOVE this jacket!
I got size small for my 13 pound Chi mix boy based on reviews if others. It leaves his butt bare as shown on other dogs but snugs up nicely. He slipped out of it once and now I tighten the neck more.I don't think a larger size would stay on him. The inside is wonderfully soft and I think flipping the collar up helps reflect some warmth onto his ears when they feel cold. And it looks so handsome!
