Very nice coat- must step in
I like this coat, even though it velcros in the middle and must be stepped into on each side. It runs a bit small, especially vs the Frisco raincoats- this one is true to size per measurement guide. Very nice for wintry days. And cute!
Not Reflective
So disappointed with this purchase. I got because it is advertised as reflective and I wanted to be sure my pup has a better chance of being seen on our night time walks (especially in the winter!). Seeing the pictures of the reflectivity, I was very excited! It fits my pup perfectly, is extremely easy to put on and use a harness with, and my pup loves it!! BUT I think I got a defective one. It does not reflect AT ALL. And now, it only makes my white pup HARDER TO SEE at night since it is a dark navy color and does not offer any kind of reflectivity. I am so frustrated with that aspect.
Light, soft, warm, stylish
There aren’t vests designed for female dogs only which would allow a bigger, longer coverage of the belly. Tasha’s belly has almost no fur there to protect her from cold. I found one such a design but only for smaller dogs. I was pleased that the nylon shell is soft. But the Velcro is stiff and must feel like having a yard stick under the belly and chest.She was uncomfortable that she couldn’t curl up when we stop at my friend’s during our walk.
rottwiler puppy!
I got 2 one for my rotty and another for a heeler aussie. they both love the material of this vest! I thought my rotty would have hated it most because he doesnt like tons of things touching him, he loves this! There isnt any problems with the vest either, as i saw in previous reviews they had been torn and what not. these 2 dogs play at the park with a ball and no tears or holes. 10/10 recommended.
Helps my furr baby Kingston stay dry!!
Love it my only problem is that the zipper broke after a while but my baby is a little chunky so it happens. He’s about 50-55 lbs. Got this for my labpit mix, he likes it and wears it when it’s raining or snowing. He use to hate going outside when it’s raining to potty but now there’s no issue, the jacket really helps.
Mom of blue heelers
I bought three of these coats and they’re really great windbreakers provide a little bit of warmth but I have added a sweater underneath just for a little more called protection,,, I love the reflection trim you can see your dog really well at night,,, I live in the country so they have a little bit of acreage that they can run around on so that’s important,,,, I don’t like the belt thing across the back it’s not tacked down,, and sometimes when I’m putting it on or off the dog it gets hung around their neck so I do worry that that might catch on a fence or a stick or something and prevent my dog from moving,,, I thought about cutting it off but then it take some of the reflection off so I may get some stitch witchery and iron it flat……. I have a 16-year-old dog who doesn’t really want it taken off he likes to sleep in it I think it keeps him just warm enough even in his kennel,,, so it must be pretty comfortable the Velcro was really secure I’ve been surprised at how well it stays on especially with my pups,,, If it weren’t for the belt I would probably give it a higher rating
So nice! Very reflective!
I love this jacket, it's lighter weight than her other heavy duty winter coats from chewy; but it is good for regular wet & cold days, or snowing. We use this one when weather isn't frigid but still pretty cold. It has a plush thick soft plaid flannel lining and goes on with strong Velcro. I finally realized on all her coats that it is easier to get her legs in the holes if you keep the coat only half way on. Then pull it on all the way. Coco is 65lb & wears XXXL. Hers in Navy blue, really a nice jacket!
adorable coat!
I got these coats to cover my dogs’ tummies in the snow… They have long hair on their tummies so tend to collect snow and rain water there. I love the reflective strips and the water resistant external side with a warm fluffy inside. I got a large for my smaller dog and an extra large for my slightly bigger Scottie. I tried the smaller size on my bigger Scottie just for kicks and it just barely fit, despite being his measurements exactly. I’m glad I got him a bigger size, but it is quite baggy on both tummies!
Perfect with harness
Handsome bright red with very reflective 2 stripes around waist plus strips edging collar, foreleg openings, and rear. Has zipper opening that is well-positioned for either collar or harness fastening with inside flannel flap keeping cold air out. Has secure Velcro fastener. Soft red plaid flannel lining with outer water repellent layer not yet tested in rain. Top Quality craftsmanship. Medium just fits our barrel chested little guy without being too long. He's new to snow and within 2 weeks he's gone from I'm not stepping in that to romping in snow today. He'll gladly stay 10-20 minutes in 10-32° F. temperatures in this jacket. Very quick delivery over Christmas.
Nice warm coat
Bought the M coat for our 20 lb Carin Terrier rescue, Rascal. Seems very well constructed. Purchased in the red color. Would definitely buy again. Velcro closure on chest is very strong. Reflective trim on jacket really LIGHTS up in the dark when I shine a flash light on him in backyard. Highly recommend!
