Perfect in many ways!
I ordered two of these for our miniature schnauzer and they are perfect! The size is also perfect for his size and portion needs. Easy to clean and do not scoot around on the floor. My son has sensory issues and does not like to touch metal or ceramic, and I did not want plastic for fear of leaching into food and water or becoming a new toy when empty. So I had several things to consider when making this purchase and these bowls have met all requirements. Again they are perfect!
not ceramic my mistake. causing feline acne
because they are not ceramic. i would not recommend to anyone. you need ceramic or stainless steel to prevent feline acne and bacteria holding up in the plastic. i wish they had a ceramic one with the wood because it would look so much better. :( sadly i have to give them away because it was causing feline acne on my cats chin. i hope chewy decides to have one like this but with ceramic!
Fell apart
The melamine portion of the bowls are nice, but after a couple of months, the bamboo base on the bowl fell off the melamine and it was covered in black mold due to the water from washing it. We still use the melamine bowl portion, but in the future would buy a single piece bowl (maybe stainless steel).
Love the look!
This bowl with bamboo base is really nice looking. I like the way it looks in my kitchen where I feed my puppy. It doesn't slide around (tho I do put it in the corner where my fridge and side table meet). It's fairly light weight and easy to clean. I would recommend this to whomever wants something kinda classy yet modern looking.

VERY SMALL
This bowl is miniature. I had to make sure I purchased the larger sized bowl, and I did...This is for a cat or tiny animal.
