Let me start by saying, these bowls are really good. I bought 4 of them for my two boy cats. Problem that needed solving: The two boys would scarf their food & go immediately eat their sister's. I can't always be there to stop them or to feed her in a different room since many times I'm on the way out Let me start by saying, these bowls are really good. I bought 4 of them for my two boy cats. Problem that needed solving: The two boys would scarf their food & go immediately eat their sister's. I can't always be there to stop them or to feed her in a different room since many times I'm on the way out the door when they get their breakfast. Vet recommended slow feeding bowls. What happened: Steve (Cattain America) & Bucky (Winpurr Soldier) didn't like the bowls very much at first, but they started eating out of them. Steve was the first to discover that he could reach in & paw the nuggets out to eat them. Bucky, after 6 months, still hasn't figured that out. He would (and still does) leave nuggets in the bottom of the bowl that he is too lazy or doesn't know how to get to. What he did figure out was that he could flip the bowl over and get all his food. This didn't solve my problem because he would either still finish first or he would abandon his food & go steal Natasha's (Black Whisker) as she is a slower eater. So, now I have to feed them in a separate room anyway. This, of course is not the fault of the bowl or the manufacturer. My boys are just too smart or too stupid/lazy, but I love them any way. … more

I bought this for my rescue pup who inhales her food. It worked for a little. You could tell it frustrated her, but it slowed her down. Until she discovered she could tip the bowl. Now she just dumps it at every meal and eats as fast as she wants to.

Not good for Frenchies
By Katty on May 7, 2022
I bought it for my French Bulldog puppy but it was too deep for him to reach all the way down to the food☹

It really works
By Affe on Apr 24, 2022
I am so pleased that it did the job of slowing down my puppy's eating, I don't even care that the gold trim came off. I hand washed the bowl so I can't say why this happened. It looks just fine w/o the trim.

Slow Feeder
By JACC on Apr 19, 2022
My dog does not stop to breathe while she gobbles her food. The slow feeder has definitely slowed her down and she has to stop and take a breath since she can't get to the bottom of the bowl. I would recommend this if you have a small dog who needs to slow down when eating.

Best eating solution!
By Precious on Apr 12, 2022
Our kitty was eating too fast and promptly throwing it all up. Used it today and it worked wonderfully! Instead of 4 minutes she took 20..and it all stayed down. Very pleased!!!

Slow down lady
By Lynn on Apr 2, 2022
My one Shih tzu loves to eat. She can finish her food before I get the bowls down for my other two. I bought this bowl and it has slowed her down a bit. It’s vey well made and does not slide around on the floor while she’s eating.

This bowl worked well with our bulldogs. It slowed them down and they can’t tip it over!

Nice bowl, but not great for flat nosed dogs

I wanted to get my pug to slow down her eating. However, this bowl does not work great for flat nosed breeds.

Attractive
By Cheri on Mar 19, 2022
Actually slowed down my chi/min pin mix. It now takes her ten seconds to eat, instead of four seconds! She is eating slower every day. Thanks Frisco!
