Exactly what I needed

I bought this to keep my 2 cats separated so they wouldn't fight. Closing a door to a room doesn't work, because the tear up the carpet trying to dig out/in. Regular size gates still allow them to jump over. Most extra tall gates are 36" tall, but my cats can jump over them. This is the tallest gate I've ever had. No one is jumping this. It looks really modern and I love that it does not look like jail bars. Installation took about 10 minutes. The gate can auto close, it can also be opened 90 degrees and stay open. This resolved my dilemma. This is sturdy

great gate

I love that it automatically closes. But, one could also open the gate fully to keep it from closing if one chooses.

Love this gate

This gate was just what we needed. The one we had before was just too short. I love how this one swings both ways and even closes by itself. Definitely recommend!

it's really pretty

it's sturdy and really great quality, it doesn't fit my doorway. I read the measurements but misunderstood them. This does not fit if your doorway is anything in between the two sets of measurements they give.

Not good for a climber

The design if this gate is ineffective for dogs who climb. It took awhile to figure out how our pooch was escaping, then it dawned on us that she climbed the gate. I wish we had figured it out during the return period.

DO NOT RECOMMEND FOR CATS

It is incredibly easy for cat claws to get stuck in any number of places on this gate. So very seriously, scary stuck I am shocked that we have not been to the emergency vet yet. I absolutely do not recommend this gate if you are a cat owner. The design on the front is also sharp and dangerous for baby hands.

Frisco metal pattern tall auto close gate

Easy installation, secure, functions as it should. Good quality with very nice looks. Works great in doorway and still close door with gate shut of needed. Would definitely recommend.

Not exactly tension-mounted

The description says it is pressure-mounted, but it includes "wall cups" that you're supposed to either screw to your walls, or use double-side foam tape circles that are included. Either way, you're installing this to your wall, not simply bracing it with tension. But it's pretty, and if you don't mind putting holes or sticking something to your walls, this would look nice.

Perfect height, pretty design, impossible fit

I have a recently diagnosed diabetic cat and one that is not. Due to the glucose levels, he thinks that he is starving ALL THE TIME and will even eat the dogs food. I needed to keep him downstairs where his food and litter is but, didn’t want to install a door. This is the perfect height. He hasn’t even attempted to jump over it because it just wouldn’t work out in his favor. My doorway is 32 inches. It is about 2-3 inches too big with the extension piece but it is 4-5 inches too small without it. The cat can squeeze right through the sides if I have it in the door way without the extension and if I put it on the drywall in the hallway, with the extension, I have the same problem. They really should have cut this extension into 2 pieces or provided other options.
