Description

Litter box duty just got easier with Frisco Micro Crystal Unscented Clumping Crystal Cat Litter. The formula is made with small crystals that absorb liquids on contact and help dry solid waste fast, resulting in fantastic odor control. For cats who prefer to potty on the side of the litter pans, the micro-sized silica gel granules help prevent pooling at the bottom. These sand-sized crystals are soft on kitty paws so the litter is comfy to step on. Clumping action makes it easy to scoop solid waste and clumps. Plus, there’s no added fragrance for sensitive households.

Key Benefits
  • Micro crystals absorb liquids and lock in odors on contact.
  • One bag lasts up to a month when used with one cat, for potential savings on litter over time.
  • Sand-sized silica gel granules help prevent pooling at the bottom of the litter box.
  • Clumping formula features no added fragrance for sensitive households.
  • Micro-crystals are soft on paws and easy to maintain—just scoop out clumps after every use.
Precautions

Always wash your hands thoroughly after handling used cat litter, as cat feces may contain Toxoplasma gondii, a parasite that can cause toxoplasmosis. Pregnant or nursing women, as well as children and anyone with a weakened immune system, should avoid handling used cat litter. Always handle litter in a ventilated area to avoid inhalation. Keep contents and packaging out of reach of children and pets. Seek medical help in case of accidental ingestion.

Not meant for use as compost or as a traction aid. Store in a cool, dry place. Product filled by weight; some settling may occur.

Transition Instructions

For first time users, we recommend a gradual switch to our product. Start with 2/3 of your old cat litter and 1/3 of your new Frisco Litter. Over time, continue to add more of the Frisco Brand until your cat box has fully transitioned to this product.

FAQ

Where is this litter made?

Frisco Micro Crystal Unscented Clumping Crystal Cat Litter is made in China and designed and tested to meet our high-quality standards.

What is the best way to transition litters?

Most cats will have little to any resistance to transitioning to Frisco Micro Crystals Cat Litter. If your cat does not use the new litter quickly and is reluctant to enter the litter box then try the following: o Start with filling the bottom of the litter pan with the bag of Frisco Micro Crystal litter then pour a thin layer of your cat’s previous cat litter on top. Your cat will naturally mix the litter over time and become acclimated to the new texture.

Can this litter be mixed with clay while transitioning?

For best results, do not mix with other cat clay litters or additives. Just pour a thin layer of the previous litter on top so your cat will enter and use the litter box. Your cat will begin mixing the litters with its paws and after several days you will not need to do anything besides scoop the solid waste and stir the litter.

How much litter should I fill my box with?

Fill clean litter box with 3-4 inches of Frisco Micro Crystal Cat Litter.

Can this litter be used in an automatic box?

This litter can be used in any automatic litter box that supports the use of crystal litter.

Is this litter low tracking?

Always use a litter mat with your crystal litter. Crystal litter is light weight and dry so it can have a cling effect to your cat’s paws and a mat will help collect crystals to avoid tracking. Cats may like the sand texture so much that they may get overzealous in covering so always use a litter mat outside the box to collect any flying crystals.

How often should I scoop?

Scoop out waste daily, using a curved, slotted litter scoop. Throw away waste. Add more Frisco cat litter as necessary to maintain a depth of 3-4 inches.

Are the crystals biodegradable?

This is litter is not biodegradable and should be disposed in the garbage only.

**What is the best way to dispose of used litter? **

Dispose of used litter in trash. Do not flush

The last bags were not the correct litter.

By Jestus on Oct 19, 2021

I’ve been ordering this litter for about a year and this last delivery the wrong litter is in the bags. It’s supposed to be fine like sand and these bags (while identical to previous orders) had the crystals that do not clump but are supposed to absorb the urine instead. Do not like it. Maybe it had something to do with new workers and empty bags getting delivered to the wrong area to get filled. I’ll try one more order and if I get the wrong litter again I’ll have to search for something else. I would say it was a five star before this last delivery.

    Misleading information about this product

By NotAsAdvertised on Sep 29, 2021

I purchased this product as a replacement for an out of stock crystal clumping litter. As the package reads it is “microcrystalline and clumping”. This product is NOT microcrystalline. A significant amount of the particles are greater than 5 millimeters in size and are comparable in size to pea gravel rather than sand. Additionally, This litter does NOT clump at all. When I went to clean the litter box, after the first night, there were no clumps and after four days of mixing the litter and scooping naked feces, the odor was so bad I dumped the litter and found the bottom of the box to be so wet with urine, I am not sure the product absorbs anything. I do not recommend this product as it did not perform as advertised. … more

    Fantastic when used properly

By Charlotte on Sep 21, 2021

I ordered this by accident but may end up making it my regular. It has the excellent odor control of a non-clumping crystal litter, better even, when the clumps are removed daily. The litter clumps up solid and because I use a liner for my litter box (and replace it every 2-3 weeks) I do not have the sticking issue that many people have complained about. This is also the least dusty crystal litter I have ever used. I keep an air purifier on a shelf above the litter box that automatically adjusts to pollutant levels in the air, and this litter rarely sets it off. It tracks a little bit, but I have yet to find a litter that doesn’t. You cannot skip daily scooping; if you do, the urine-saturated I ordered this by accident but may end up making it my regular. Worst litter

By Theo on Sep 28, 2021

I ordered this by accident but it was by far the worst litter I have ever used. It does a horrible job of odor control but the worst part is that the only “clumps” it forms are the ones that stick like glue to the bottom of the pan. They won’t scrape off with the litter scoop. If you are able to break a clump off of the bottom you won’t be able to scoop it up and remove it cause it’ll just break into a bunch of smaller clumps. I am not looking forward to having to deep clean the box to remove all of the solid pieces that have fused to the bottom and sides of the box.

    extreme clumping

By Alyssa on Oct 23, 2021

I was excited for this litter but it was very disappointing. I clean my boxes out every other day and this “clumping” that happens makes it rock solid and I have to pry the clump out of the box. It really sticks to the litter box itself and I had to scrape the remainder off the bottom of the box. Much more hassle than help it is.

    Great litter for multiple cats

By HKenn on Oct 6, 2021

I have 4 cats of varying ages between 4 months and 10 years of age for them. This litter works fantastic for them! They have refused to use any other litter but this one in the short time we've been using it. On a different note, I'm genuinely curious if any of you that are complaining about I sticking to the bottom of the box have ever used clay based litter because it literally does the same thing.

    it does really clump

By clumpy on Sep 27, 2021

I ordered this litter by accident and never used a clumping litter before. The litter clumps a lot and does eliminate the odor. However, by the end of the first week I disposed of almost half of the litter due to clumping. I had to add non clumping litter to the box to get through another week. So, I do not know if my cat pees more than normal or the litter is too clumpy. I will probably revert to non clumping litter again

    Horrible!! Save your money.

By Dolly on Sep 27, 2021

I bought this litter thinking of both my cat's health as well as mine after using clumping litter for years. So I thought I would give this a try. Horrible, horrible. It gets everywhere, way worse than regular litter. It clumps together and sticks to the sides and bottom of the box due to the humidity, and you still get an odor with this type. I'm going back to what we have always used until I can try something different.

    I do not recommend!

By Reelpam on Sep 18, 2021

Normally, I am satisfied with Frisco products - but the clumping crystal cat litter is horrible! It sticks like glue to the sides/bottom of the box and I had to soak it for 24 hours before I could scrape it off easily. The non-clumping crystal litter is great and I am happy with it but the clumping is just too much work - we have 3 cats and I spent way too much time cleaning their boxes today.

Good Odor Control, Not As Messy

By KathyAZ on Aug 16, 2021

I tried this for a kitten that refused to use the litter boxes with regular clumping cat litter. She would jump out of the box as if the litter burned her paws, so gave this a try and now she's litter trained. I've been hesitant to try the crystal stuff, but found I like this. This has very little dust and the litter mat catches the fine crystals, so this stuff isn't spreading all over the floor. It does clump. The clumps can stick to the bottom of the box, which do require more effort to get out, but I use a metal scooper so it's fairly easy to loosen those clumps. To prevent the clumps sticking at the bottom, I added more litter to the box so it's deeper and the issue doesn't exist.
