Description

Litter box duty just got easier with Frisco Micro Crystal Unscented Clumping Crystal Cat Litter. The formula is made with small crystals that absorb liquids on contact and help dry solid waste fast, resulting in fantastic odor control. For cats who prefer to potty on the side of the litter pans, the micro-sized silica gel granules help prevent pooling at the bottom. These sand-sized crystals are soft on kitty paws so the litter is comfy to step on. Clumping action makes it easy to scoop solid waste and clumps. Plus, there’s no added fragrance for sensitive households.

Key Benefits
  • Micro crystals absorb liquids and lock in odors on contact.
  • One bag lasts up to a month when used with one cat, for potential savings on litter over time.
  • Sand-sized silica gel granules help prevent pooling at the bottom of the litter box.
  • Clumping formula features no added fragrance for sensitive households.
  • Micro-crystals are soft on paws and easy to maintain—just scoop out clumps after every use.
Precautions

Always wash your hands thoroughly after handling used cat litter, as cat feces may contain Toxoplasma gondii, a parasite that can cause toxoplasmosis. Pregnant or nursing women, as well as children and anyone with a weakened immune system, should avoid handling used cat litter. Always handle litter in a ventilated area to avoid inhalation. Keep contents and packaging out of reach of children and pets. Seek medical help in case of accidental ingestion.

Instructions

Add approximately 4 inches of Frisco cat litter to a clean, dry litter box (this allows your cats to dig and cover their waste naturally). Scoop out waste daily, using a curved, slotted litter scoop. Throw away waste. Add more Frisco cat litter as necessary to maintain a depth of 4 inches. Additional Instructions

Only dispose of used cat litter in trash. Do not flush, bury or dispose of it outdoors, in gutters or storm drains to avoid environmental contamination. Not for internal use. Not meant for use as compost or as a traction aid. Store in a cool, dry place. Product filled by weight; some settling may occur.

Transition Instructions

For first time users, we recommend a gradual switch to our product. Start with 2/3 of your old cat litter and 1/3 of your new Frisco Litter. Over time, continue to add more of the Frisco Brand until your cat box has fully transitioned to this product.

FAQ

Where is this litter made?

Frisco Micro Crystal Unscented Clumping Crystal Cat Litter is made in China and designed and tested to meet our high-quality standards.

What is the best way to transition litters?

Most cats will have little to any resistance to transitioning to Frisco Micro Crystals Cat Litter. If your cat does not use the new litter quickly and is reluctant to enter the litter box then try the following: o Start with filling the bottom of the litter pan with the bag of Frisco Micro Crystal litter then pour a thin layer of your cat’s previous cat litter on top. Your cat will naturally mix the litter over time and become acclimated to the new texture.

Can this litter be mixed with clay while transitioning?

For best results, do not mix with other cat clay litters or additives. Just pour a thin layer of the previous litter on top so your cat will enter and use the litter box. Your cat will begin mixing the litters with its paws and after several days you will not need to do anything besides scoop the solid waste and stir the litter.

How much litter should I fill my box with?

Fill clean litter box with 3-4 inches of Frisco Micro Crystal Cat Litter.

Can this litter be used in an automatic box?

This litter can be used in any automatic litter box that supports the use of crystal litter.

Is this litter low tracking?

Always use a litter mat with your crystal litter. Crystal litter is light weight and dry so it can have a cling effect to your cat’s paws and a mat will help collect crystals to avoid tracking. Cats may like the sand texture so much that they may get overzealous in covering so always use a litter mat outside the box to collect any flying crystals.

How often should I scoop?

Scoop out waste daily, using a curved, slotted litter scoop. Throw away waste. Add more Frisco cat litter as necessary to maintain a depth of 3-4 inches.

Are the crystals biodegradable?

This is litter is not biodegradable and should be disposed in the garbage only.

**What is the best way to dispose of used litter? **

Dispose of used litter in trash. Do not flush

    Happy Accidental Purchase

    By Mom2Karma on Apr 24, 2021

I thought I was reordering the non-clumping crystals (which I was mostly happy with.) Imagine my surprise when a completely different litter fell out of the bag. Too late now! Sometimes accidents work out happily, and this is one of those times. My Maine Coon mix is the only one who will use crystal litter. Tracking isn't an issue as he lives in the garage (long story; he hates every other animal in my house, so the garage-living keeps everyone safe.) Because it's the garage, no influence on the rating for tracking or dust. 12/10 for clumping! He pees A LOT and this stuff immediately turns to stone. Super easy to scoop out. He's a lazy guy, just hops into the box, does his business, and hops I thought I was reordering the non-clumping crystals (which I was mostly happy with.) He's a lazy guy, just hops into the box, does his business, and hops back out (rarely digs, doesn't cover) so everything is right there on top. If he were a digger, or the litter were not deep enough, I can see the issue with those stones sticking to the bottom of the pan. 4/10 for odor control. Definitely controls the urine odor, but the poo... PEEEEE-EWWWW. And, that's partly him because he doesn't cover, but I've had other unscented litters handle the smell better. *I absolutely will be buying this again.* If he were an industrious digger, or it were in the house where it would track... I would have second thoughts. Also, I mix the back half of his box (he usually goes in the front 1/3) with the regular-size, non-clumping crystals from another brand. That helps A LOT with the tracking, as it doesn't stick to him as much. Again, if you've got a digger or cats that use the whole litter box... probably not a good option. … more

Not what I had hoped for...

By Karizata on Apr 9, 2021

So I bought this thinking maybe it would be less dusty for myself and the kitties. It is not. There is way more dust than what I have been buying for them. It mentioned good odor control, and I feel that is lacking. It for sure keeps the urine and ammonia smell down, but when my cats poop... I have to scoop right away or smell it until I clean it. The one thing I do like from this, is the urine clumped so nicely. Other than that, I do not like this product.

    Not so sure

By Cosmic on Apr 17, 2021

I normally use the normal silica crystal litter, I had hoped that the micro crystal would more easily fall off their paws on the litter rug. Not the case, there is now silica litter sand all over my house. Normally a few silica pellets here and there, no big deal. This stuff is messy. Smell retention is great, since it dehydrates the tootsie rolls, as with any other silica litter,

Not for me, I suggest the non-clumping

    By Ashley11 on Apr 8, 2021

This litter did not work for me—I thought I had bought the non-clumping litter but accidentally got the clumping, thought I’d just give it a try instead of returning—the cat pee solidifies but I have to scrape the clump off the bottom of the litter tray, and the once clumped up cat pee just breaks apart getting everywhere. It also tracks like crazy. I would suggest the non-clumping one as I’ve used before and like.

    Great litter

By michele on Apr 3, 2021

I have 2 maine coons, one is diabetic who pees a lot. So I want good clumping, low tracking and clean. Ive tried several...clay, corn, walnut and all have their drawbacks. All litter tracks (I use a litter box with a top lid entrance, which helps a lot) but this litter doesnt track much, and what does track is clear, clean/dry, unlike the others. Dust is low. Clumps great! I'm sold.

    A must try!

By Bonita on Mar 12, 2021

I have two cats and 3 litter boxes at different areas in my home. Changing litter is a chore, however Frisco micro crystal unscented litter has made my chore so much more pleasant. It does a great job of controlling odor and less mess when kitty leaves the box! Have used it now for a couple of years and will never go back to clumping litter and it’s mess.

    gets everywhere

By erin on Mar 8, 2021

I’m no stranger to my cat tracking litter. With most kinds of litter I sweep my floor once per day. With this, I’m finding that I need to sweep 2-3 times per day for just one cat. It sticks to his paws so much that he even tracks it into other rooms and into the bed. It’s quite unpleasant and I do not think I’ll be buying it again for that reason.

    Not happy at all

By Rusty on Mar 5, 2021

Not satisfied at all with this litter I thought it would help because it was supposed to be dustless but the clumping is horrible and the odor is unbearable when I walk into my home I can smell the litter pad right from the entrance where as with tidy cats that I used my only complaint with that was it didn’t clamp the year and as well but my house never smelled bad

    Less odor, less mess

By Michelle on Apr 13, 2021

This product really works! It scoops clean and easily, so there is less mess and less waste. The cats don't seem to track as much out onto the floor either. It really helps to reduce the litterbox odor too.

    Great crystal litter

By Catgrrl on Jan 31, 2021

I have 2 cats that are pu/pd (drink and pee a lot) and need crystal litter for them to soak up the urine, but I like to be able to scoop out the urine daily and they really prefer small, sand like litter, so this is perfect! I can scoop the urine clumps easily, and they absorb enough of the urine that it’s not just muddy like the clay or natural litters I’ve tried. There isn’t a cloud of dust either which my cat with chronic rhinitis and my asthmatic cat and I all appreciate. They do have colored beads which freaked me out one day because they happened to pee on the pink bead and it made the urine clump look like bloody urine but when I scooped it, it was obvious it was just the bead.
