What a WINNER of a mat!
I bought this mat to go inside my dog crate (48" long). My re-home puppy is big, 58 lbs at less than a year (standard Poodle) and his previous owners warned me not to put ANYTHING in his crate or he would chew it up. Well, I felt so sorry for him laying on the cold hard tray so at first I threw in an old blanket to see how bad the chewing would be. Poor thing cuddled up in that blanket and looked at me as if to say THANK YOU!!!! He never chewed it at all. So I began my search for a good mat for the crate. Brothers and sisters, I found it! Fuzzy on one side, canvas-like on the other, this mat is the bomb! Pup took to it immediately and never chewed it. I have the fuzzy side up for winter, but come summer I will flip it to the canvas side. This has reduced noise in the crate and now he sleeps ON HIS BACK with all four feet in the air! He never slept like that before I added this mat. You can feel the quality in the materials. The foam is firm enough to support but also contours to their position. It appears to be very well made and for the price, it cant be beat. After installing the mat in my pup's crate, his old sister dog got jealous and tried to take it over. So what's a dog momma to do? I ordered another mat (one size down) for her too! She does not use a crate, so my only criticism is that it's slippery on the hardwood floors. I had to put a non-skid pad underneath. Small price to pay for the comfort of the pooches. Now both dogs are happy, no arguing over the mat, and I am a satisfied dog momma. Great product.
Cute and washable
My dog needed a crate mat that had a removable covering since she eats breakfast in her crate and it can get messy. This pillow was just what I was looking for, a removable cover for easy washing, fit well in the crate, and cute! I do not think this is her favorite bed she has others that are more comfortable, but this is definitely comfy enough for her to rest well on if I ever need to run out and put her in her crate for an hour or two
Very soft.
I got this thinking it may be filmsy, surprisingly it wasn't and I like that you can feel the egg-shaped foam. It's cute design too. Wish they sold just the covers too in different colours #chewyteamrated
Great Orthopedic Dog Bed!
Our dog absolutely loves her new bed! She's getting up in years and I wanted to be sure her hips and other joints were protected from laying on a hard surface. It's easy to keep clean if you're just wiping off dirt, but the only complaint is once the cover has been washed it's almost impossible to get back on.
Fits crate, but
This crate mat fit the crate perfectly and it’s very cute, but the dogs don’t seem to care for the firmness. I think it has to do with it being an orthopedic bed. I bought an ortho bed for a bigger dog and he didn’t care for it, either.
Great bed for large crate.
Ordered the 48-in bed to go in a giant size crate for my Presa Canario puppy. Purchased two crib mattress sheets for easier washing, although the bed already has removable cover. The bed was shipped fast in a large box, thus avoiding a compressed foam mattress. This dog bed is so comfortable, my pup loves it.
Nice crate pad
Fits my Shelties crate perfect. I have washed it once and it washed up nicely.
Not bad for the price
Bought 3. 1 dog tore it apart the first night. 1 dog wouldn't sleep on it and the last dog loves it. Dogs can be fussy.

Cover is a pain to put on
The margins to get the cover back on are slim you spend more time getting it put back on than they wash time. If they encased the foam or made it a few centimeters smaller it would make it so much easier. Better if they put a water barrier to not have urine soak through.
