Needs more cushioning
I got this bed for my arthritic cat, so she could be off the floor without needing to jump up on anything. The rim is hard, and the bottom is a flat pad that sort of feels like a thin cushion on top of a hard bench. Not very cozy for this cat! After lining it with one of her favorite soft blankets, she seems to like it. Separately, the furry side of the mat is problematic: some of the "fur" had already shed in the packaging, and my cat immediately started ripping at that side of the mat with her teeth. I felt like she might ingest it, especially if she starts licking it while she bathes herself. So I like the overall form of the bed, but it would be better with non-shedding fabric and a softer plush feel.

The cats take turns in this bed (and they don’t share anything else!) which serves as a lookout point from the top of our staircase :)
Perfect cat bed
I needed a elevated bed since my cat for whatever reason only loves to sleep in the bathroom which would occasionally get wet so see how this does not make ground contact it's perfect. The plus side is that the cushioning it comes with can be removed and cleaned easily or replaced if a more cushioned bed is needed
Nice little bed
I like this bed, easy to assemble and smart looking. Cats haven't decided yet that they like it and want to spend time in it though this may change over time. It is larger than I expected. Happy with this purchase.

Needs a padded rim
Wanted another Pedestal Sleeper for my long, 19lb cat Rocy. Saw this bed and thought it would be a good fit. Received it timely, put it together easily and set it down in a great spot in my living room. Rocy surveyed it nonchalantly, stepped inside, laid down, and as is customary for him, draped his chin over the edge. It did not take 2 minutes for him to decide something wasn't quite right, and left. After moving the bed to other locations with no interest from him, I sat down to see what could be the matter. Low and behold! When I felt the rim, I realized it had no padding and that it was probably what had been so disconcerting to my Fur Beast. However, I added some Catnip and he was much more interested in hanging out there, just not resting his chin on the rim. All in all, it fits his long tall large frame because he's a Cat and folds himself in half, but it is not completely conducive to his hanging out there for very long other than for short Cat naps, because of the sharpness of the rim. Otherwise, he likes it ok.

I've had this bed a few months and my cats love it. It looks nice and even though my one cat loves to scratch the outside it's holding up well
Depends on cats
I recently for this bed for my sister's cat and she said that the cat likes to play in it but would not sleep there. So I think it's just the cat's preference to sleep on hard floors than a soft bed. The bed itself is great. Soft, plushy and adds as a great interior design item. It was easy to assemble and large enough for a grown cat to be in.
Great cat bed
Our cat loves this cat bed. We have it elevated and in a sunny spot in our family room. The bed is sturdy and must be comfortable because he spends hours snoozing in it. We are really happy with this purchase v
