I am getting older and the litter was getting more and more unmanageable. It was definitely heavier. Dust was everywhere. I could dust daily and wouldn’t be able to keep up. Not with Frisco’s, it is virtually dust free. It is lighter in weight yet never scatters anywhere. Even the cats seem to appreciate it more! I love that it is totally unscented. No strange “air freshener” wafting from the boxes every time a cat buried something. It seems to clump pretty well. It also stays fresh much longer. It might be fine for smaller cats as little piddles are okay, but when you have a large breed cat with a bladder the size of a small child, this is not the litter for you or them. A large cat will saturate this litter very quickly and it breaks apart very easily. Any bits that break from the larger clump fall apart into dust too small to scoop. So it looks dirty very quickly. It also does not cover the smell at all, and large breed cats are notoriously strong in ammonia. I use the largest litter boxes (2) that they make, and scoop every 2-3 days. I have one very large very overweight female (Maine coon/ Mix) cat and one normal, thin mixed breed male that digs/buries. (Sadly he breaks the clumps apart, doubling down on the issues with this litter for me/them). I’m always looking for a better way. I went back to Dr. Esley’s. It’s inexpensive, and clumps well, but does seem to vary somewhat in quality from bag to bag. … more
