So I already have a betta in a 5 gallon tank, but I decided I wanted to get new rocks. I looked everywhere for some rocks that weren't going to be super dusty, as I'd had issues in the past. Found these, reviews weren't bad, decided to buy. When I received them, they looked like they were covered in white chalk powder. I washed handfuls at a time in a pot, drained the murky water, washed until ran clear, and repeated until I did the whole bag. THEN, I even boiled some water and placed them in to swish around. Finally, I rinsed them with a sink hose. Next, I place them in my tank. Thank goodness I had my betta in a separate container because the water turned WHITE!! After a whole HOUR of vigorously cleaning these rocks, they STILL ruined my tank water. But if you have any knowledge about fish you know that you can't just start with new water. So now I have to slowly replace water. My brand new sponge filter is already COVERED in this mysterious dust. Come on, you guys could have at least removed some of the dust. I do no recommend for an aquarium. Maybe a potted plants, but not in water. I really hope this doesn't harm my fish or snail. Will not be buying again.
I didn’t expect these to look so natural but they really do look like gravel we found in beaches before. They work really well with most aquariums as they are a nice neutral color. Best part is that the fishes seem to like them and don’t seem stressed about the new change in environment. I haven’t seen any major mold issues so far so seems good
I had brought this a month a log because I had recently just bought a new aquarium for my pet turtle because her old fish bowl was to cramped and boring for her. I needed to get some gravel but wanted some that would look cute in the aquarium and I’m so glad I did because it is.
Love this product, I was using another brand but they didn’t have the verity of colors I wanted. This one does plus, may be in my head but doesn’t seem to need cleaned as often as the others.. looks great in the tank. Best part is it isn’t fake rock
This stuff is exactly what it says. It's natural colored gravel. It's decent stuff, not to dusty though still needs cleaned and washed before use in a tank. My only issue is that the gravel is a little large for what I like. I'd prefer a little smaller for the individual gravel pieces.
These gravel are very nice to the touch and it is very helpful to my fish tank. It gives it another element in my plain tank so it’s nice to have this added. They are also easy to remove if you need to especially when you get more fish.
This Frisco Natural Aquarium Gravel is exactly what you would expect. It’s perfect for the bottoms of our fish bowls and it’s easy to clean. The color is very natural Looking which adds to the aesthetic of clean. I recommend.
This is a good neutral colored gravel that looks like in my aquarium. It replaces a brown gravel I used to have and it really lightens up the entire aquarium. The overall size of the rocks is bigger than expected but still looks good and natural in the tank.
Really worth the money! You get a very nice amount of gravel and its prettier than it looks here. You do have to spend some time washing it before putting it in the tank but I would definitely recommend. Bang for your Buck!
I had gotten a aquarium for my kids and we needed to fill it with gravel that would represent its home Habitat for the fish so I decided to purchase this product because of it's Vaule and it's natural look. My fish ABSOLUTELY loved it and so did my pocket book!
