Remember to measure your pet for the paw-fect fit. If you're planning a day of water fun for you and your pup, give them the buoyancy they need with the Frisco Dog Life Jacket. Designed with safety in mind, this life jacket has a front panel with a flotation flap and thick 30mm foam side panels to help keep their head above water. There’s also neoprene included in the side panels for added buoyancy and insulation when the water’s chilly. A durable 3.4mm thick neoprene belly band and three adjustable straps with side-release buckles will help you get the best, snug fit to help ensure comfort and safety for your pup. There is also a grab handle on the top of the life jacket—larger sizes come with dual handles—so that you can use to pull your dog out of the water quickly in case of emergency. When traveling on dry land, there is a D-ring for leash attachment on the back of the life jacket. Be sure to weigh your pet and choose the size that matches the recommended weight range. This way, you can ensure that the life jacket will provide the proper level of buoyancy to keep your pet afloat.

For the best fit, we recommend selecting the size based on your pet's chest measurement. Once you have determined the correct size, you should then reference the weight the life jacket can safely support. If your pet falls somewhere between two sizes, we advise ordering the larger of the two.

What is the best way to measure dog for the best fit?
To find the right jacket for your pup, measure their chest, neck and weight. Then, compare their measurements to the size chart and the Maximum Buoyant Weight listed. To measure the chest girth you'll measure at the broadest part of the chest behind the front legs and to measure for the neck girth you'll measure at the broadest part of the neck. For the best fit, we recommend selecting the size based on your pet's chest measurement. Once you have determined the correct size, you should then reference the weight the life jacket can safely support.
What is the Maximum Buoyant Weight for each size?
If my dog is in between sizes, how should I choose the best size?
If the dog happens to be in between sizes, it's then recommended to select the bigger size.
What is the best way to clean?
It is recommended to hand wash in cold water with mild detergent, do not bleach, wash separate from other clothing. For best results, hang to dry.

Well made life jacket. The floatation material is fairly thick. My Labrador is able to move freely while in this life jacket. In my opinion this life jacket is good for beginners or advanced swimmers. It's important to remember regardless of your dog's swimming ability they all could get in a situation where they get tired. This is life jacket fits my budget and more importantly it keeps my dog from getting tired while swimming.
She’s 11 pounds ( a bit hefty for her size). Lengthwise (12” from collar to base of tail) the XS was perfect. The middle section barely closed around her belly (17” girth at the largest section) but the buckles secured it so it was fine. We tested it in the bathtub and it worked out perfectly!
I bought this a few months ago and just got around to using it. It fit my dog pretty well and seemed like it provided a little help floating. Maybe my dog is particularly dense, but I don't think this provided enough floatation for him to not drown if he wasn't doggy paddling to swim at the same time. My dog is pretty lean and muscular so he doesn't have much fat to help him float. So I'll keep using this until I get something else, but I'm not confident this is doing enough to keep my dog afloat. The other bit, after we got done with our swim I had him on the shore and tethered to a tree next to me so I could read without him wandering off. When he wanted to go play with another dog he ripped the seam on the buckle on the first try. It's still attached but the stitching is torn. This just isn't high enough quality for me, I need more floatation and better seams for my dog. It does look nice though. These will probably work better for small dogs.
Our chihuahua is terrified of Velcro, so I can’t use this on him. I carefully read the description and there was no mention of Velcro, as that was something that was important to me before I ordered it. I couldn’t easily find how to return it. Other than the Velcro thing, it looks like it would be small enough to fit our 5-lb chihuahua, which is hard to find (XS). Looks like decent quality.
I have a new Mini Golden Doodle, who absolutely loves the water! I can't keep him dry! This life jacket is well made and will be great for the beach!!
Didn’t fit my dog despite her being within the measurements. Maybe because she’s a dachshund and has a weird body type? But still.
Gave my big guy the confidence to swim safe . Kept him from sinking . Love the large jacket . Easy to put on.
My boy Otter lives up to his name so he LOVES the water! We actually caught him swimming off our neighbors dock and knew we needed to get him a life vest. We had some in the past that didn't work out (his hair is so slick when wet so they would fall right off even if tightened all the way), but this one sticks like glue! It's absolutely perfect for him and he loves wearing it because it doesn't get up in his little doggy armpits.
This life jacket does it all. It is comfortable for my puppy, so she likes wearing it. It keeps her afloat easily, so from her first dip in the ocean this summer, her skepticism evaporated quickly and she had a blast. And it is so easy to lift her with the perfectly placed handle on top.
I recently got a paddleboard and decided that I should probably get my dog(s) a life jacket if I ever expect them to go paddlin' with me. My one dog is a good swimmer and loves the water, the other... not so much. I'm not actually sure if the non-swimmer can even swim. This is an AWESOME life jacket - especially for the price. Ordered an XL for my GSD and shepherd mix and it's plenty large enough for both of them. It's well constructed and fits great. Although my dogs were initially apprehensive about having it on, they had no issues with moving or even running once they were wearing it. For the very first time (ever!!!) I was able to get my dog that doesn't swim out into the water past his comfort level and got him to paddle around with me. Once he'd had enough, I put the vest on my dog who loves to swim and she swam for a good 2 hours. I liked this product so much, I ordered a second vest a week later so both dogs have one for when we go to the beach or out on the water.
