We have a senior, adult, and two kittens. I use these against the stair, chair leg, and even at one door (as a wedge) -- to distract the kittens, who are still learning scratching manners, from the places they were attracted. Even without the included catnip, they have been an immediate hit. Anytime they start to scratch a no-no spot, we take them to any of these and they go to town. What has surprised me is that the grown cats have really taken to them, too. Definitely, a cost-effective solution to add multiple scratching areas. The fact that they can be nested together to save space when you want -- an added bonus.
So I have to ask, what’s in them? Normally Sydney will go to town on a new scratch pad, with or without catnip involved. I put the catnip that came with the scratch pads on the first one of three, and she snubbed it. So I used her organic catnip with the second one… no dice! The third one has no catnip on it but she has not intention on using it. It’s just sitting there. Why it’s still sitting there, I don’t know. But I just looked over and realized that time hasn’t changed a thing. But if this girl of mine won’t use it, like any cat, she’s got her reasons. But my girl also hates synthetics and perfumes. So, the fact that she won’t use her favorite type of toy, it makes me wonder… What is in it? What is omit made of?
The advertisement for this product on your website was misleading. In the photo/video, the angle of this scratching post and the cat that was on it made it look very wide... much bigger than it actually is. It is unstable and the first time my cats tried to use it- it fell over. That did it. They won't touch any of the three. I think that the angled design may be the problem. They lilke the flat scratching pads... they don't fall over or wobble when they try to use them. Will never purchase again. It was a waste of money. It's no one's fault, I guess. It's just that my cats don't like it.
I have cats that enjoy scratching in their free time. This is smaller than I expected however I didn't read the measurements so my fault. They enjoy using this like their other scratcher. The angle is perfect for the stretching kitty. Careful pouring the cat nip on these as it falls right through.
Our two ladies like to have a scratching pad handy when they want to stretch and work on the claws. We appreciate that we don't have to have bulky furniture everywhere in the house when they want to scratch. Great item, great price, great place to shop.
I bought this mainly for my one cat who loves cardboard scratchers. While he mainly likes ones that lay flat and he can lay on and scratch, I thought he might light this as a new option. Well, I was wrong, he has yet to acknowledge it and my other cats, ignore it as well. I know that's a cat thing and has nothing to do with the quality of the product, which is ok for what it is. However, I am somewhat in the smallest scratcher as it's way too small for a cat. It may work for a kitten, but not a cat and not for the cost.
My cats really like the scratcher however, there are many little scraps of paper all over the floor from the scratching. Been sweeping the floor several times a day due to it. In addition, the edges break easily. From the picture you can see that the top edge of the scratcher is already broken. I like the product design and the price, but I wish the quality was much better. I would give it a 5 stars if it wasn't for the above.
We adopted a kitten and this 3 pack has been such a wonderful starter!! My only wish is that they were slightly heavier. Our 8 week old kitten drags them around our home and knocks them over from playing and jumping on them.
We have 3 cats, if you have them you know they live to keep those claws in good shape. This is not expensive, you get 3 to put around the house and saves FURNiture. It was a big hit amd since there are 3 so waiting.
When I see one of my felines purposely try something out the minute it comes out of its shipment box, I know I've got a winner on my hands........that's what this scratch ramp set is ....a winner!
