How do you size dog socks

For the best fit, match the dimensions in the "Size" tab to your pet's measurements as closely as possible. If your pet falls somewhere between two sizes, we advise ordering the larger of the two. With your pet's paw on the ground on top of a piece of paper, mark the left and right sides at the widest point of your pet's paw, which is usually near the base of the toes.
Would these be suitable for keeping my pups paws warm during night walks?

Thumbs Down

I just purchased these for my Golden for our nightly walks. Living in Western New York it gets cold. Normally, I put his boots on, but thought maybe some sock like booty's would be a little cooler (we walk for hours). So by the time we hit the other side of my neighbors house one fell off with the other three hanging. I had them as tight and pulled up as much as possible. I really wanted these to work and high hopes, but we're going to stick with his boots.

Not a huge fan

I got these for my senior pup to help him slip less when getting around the house (which is mostly tile with area rugs). I doubled checked the measurements and the fit is right, but the socks won't stay up for him and so he is still slipping and sliding. I gave it a two because perhaps it works better for different breeds. My pup is a beagle.

Frisco socks

My 10 pound senior rescue dog has severe arthritis in all of her legs with some deformities in elbows, shoulders, and knees, and ankles. My house has a lot of wood flooring that she slips on. She cannot afford any further injuries. I could not find any socks small enough until I found these. They are comfortable for her and work as they should. I was not sure about size so I bought size 1 and 2. The size 1 fit the best.

Great socks for my elderly dog

My elderly dog has started having mobility issues, and often slips on our hardwood and tile floors. These socks are perfect! They are easy to put on, and give her the stability she needs to safely walk around the house. She is a medium size dog, and the size 4 socks fit great.

Didn't work for our Corgi

The socks just spun in circles on her feet no matter how hard we pulled the velco around her ankles. The paw shaped grip area, in my opinion, could be much larger. The socks we got her were the appropriate size for her feet.

Super cool socks

I got these for my Boston terrier size 5 & they fit pretty well on his front paws, but the back paws are slightly smaller so they slip off here and there. They seemed pretty comfy, he didn’t do that weird walk dogs do when they have shoes on lol. This is a cheap choice if you want to protect your dogs feet.

Non-Skid Cable Knit Dog Socks

It did give my pup the confidence she needed to step into the kitchen floor without sliding. Only thing is, it doesn't stay much on the back paws, keeps falling off. Not sure if they need to be longer for it to work. At this time I probably wouldn't recommend it. We cannot use it like this.

Cat Approved!

My senior cat had surgery on his paw. After surgery I was looking for a way to apply his topical medicine without him just licking it off. I have looked and looked for something like this for cats that works. Here it is! These socks have a Velcro strap on them that helps from the sock being pulled off. I have been using one sock and washing it every 12 hours due to liter box use. This package comes with 4!!! I highly recommend!!

High hopes, but disappointed

I had high hopes for these socks. At first they fit well and kept my old arthritic dog from sliding around on my floors. But the grippiness of the socks deteriorated quickly and now he slips around almost as much as he did without them. The grippiness lasted about a month, then wore off with use. The pads that gripped the floor are now smooth. Thankfully they aren't that expensive, but still...they disappointed.

Silent Night

These Non-Skid socks were amazing! We have hardwood floors and our pup started getting wobbly after starting new medicine and was falling all over the place. We put these puppies on him and he could walk and run without falling. But, be warned, they make your pet very quiet and sneaky. You think they're in the kitchen but nope, they are suddenly right by your side. I bought 4 sets because they worked so well.
