    I love this feeder

I bought 2 of these and when I first saw them I was going to take them back because they looked so big! But I thought I would try then. I raw feed my dogs so it is a soft food. The dogs took a good while to get all the food and really had to work at it. I'm so glad I did not return them and would recommend I bought 2 of these and when I first saw them I was going to take them back because they looked so big! But I thought I would try then. I bought this slow feeder about 2 months ago because I have what is now a nine-month-old Pitbull. Her name is A i y a n a pronounced Eye-yan- na it means Endless Beauty in Cherokee. This dog can eat so fast I probably could win money betting on how fast she can eat. This is a great design this and I can see where it may help some dogs slow down while eating. The reason for purchasing this bowl is that I have three Pitbull ages 14, 4 and 9 months old. Aiyana my 9 month old even with the slow feeding Bowl still finishes her food before my other dogs, then her nose is all in the other's food bowls. Because i live in a camper putting them in separate rooms is not an option. So all my dog's have been trained to go to their place and wait till i place their food down and say when to start eating.. Aiyana's bowl is set down last. My problem is that with my 40 years of rescuing and training pitbulls sooner or later there will be a fight over the food ! I have say that for my situation and my knowledge of pitbull's this bowl is a huge fail as far as slowing this particular dog down. Sorry for the bad review however i have to call it like it is . I have given the slow feeder to a local rescue i associate with in hope that it may help another dog..... … more
