Frisco Non-Skid Stainless Steel Dish Cat Bowl

Really nice dish for cats

I'm very pleased with this cat bowl! It's got a hefty weight and is just the right size for my kitties; and I love the non-skid bottom -- my guys are messy eaters and this helps contain the mess. My cats love it because their whiskers don't touch the sides when they're eating. Recommend wholeheartedly -- I'm probably going to order a couple more.

Only so-so

I purchased these feeders to replace ceramic ones that had crazed glazing. I should have examined them more carefully on line - I have to hand wash them and even so, they retain water between the inner and outer rims. Not pleased with that at all and will eventually buy just plain stainless steel bowls.

Perfect shape & weight

This is the best cat food dish I've ever bought. It is shallow enough to prevent whisker fatigue, and the sides are adequate enough to keep food from being shoveled out of the bowl on the regular. I love that its non-skid, because cats tend to lick their food vigorously, and if the dish is not sufficiently heavy the cats get discouraged when the dish keeps scooting away and give up eating. And if the sides are not high enough, food can get licked right onto the floor, where the cats don't usually lick it up.

At first they were great then realized….

At first I was so happy to finally find a great bowl for my cats. After a few usages I notice that water accumulates between the plastic and the bowl at the bottom of the dishes were the rubber is. I have a total of 8 and will no longer used them. I hope the manufacturer visits this issue and corrects it because the over all quality is perfect.

BEWARE: Toxic Off Gas

The bowls themselves seem to be made well however the off gas from the rubber bottoms are horrific. I kept them upside down outside for 2 weeks and no change. My cat will NOT eat out of these bowls because the smell is so bad when he smells his food he just walks away. If I put that same food in another bowl he ate it up.

The bowls had a adhesive label on the inside of the bowls and I couldn't get it off in order to use them. I sent these to my mom for her outdoor cats and she couldn't use them so kind of disappointed

Water gets trapped.

The water gets trapped between the red plastic outside and the stainless steel portion the food is on. This is unacceptable to me. I washed them by hand and have never used them due to this. Chewy customer service did issue a refund but I can’t imagine why these are still on the marketplace. Skip these and find a different product. In the photo you can see the water below my thumb. If I could use a video then you could see it move around.

I wanted a heavy bowl that wouldn't tip over...

and what I got was a slightly heavier than normal dish that I cannot use because the sticker adhesive is unremovable without stripping the stainless and making this unsafe for use with food consumption for animals. As for the non-skid aspect, I can't say that this performs the way it should because it blew over with 5mph winds outside.

Be careful washing

My bowl has accumulated water between the bowl and the red coating layer. I hand washed, but I did just throw it in the dishpan, which apparently isn't a good idea. It's a shame, because I was looking for a shallow bowl for my cat, and this looked ideal.

Color Coded feeding!

I do love these dishes for serving canned cat food to my kitties that have different diets or medications. I can color code by cat, so when I have all the food dished out I know who gets which dish. Added bonus--they are so shiny and reflective your cat will be mesmerized by the reflected light on the ceiling :D Also washes up easily, dishwasher safe, doesn't slide across the floor, what's not to like?!
