This harness does not have all of the adjustability that some do. It came fully extended and JUST fits IF Ezzie doesn't gain any weight. Thankfully he is two and fully grown. We bought a large and he is 32 lbs. long and low like a Rough Coated Jack Russel (he's a mix). The harness is soft and doesn't seem too tight under his front leg joints which was my concern since it is already fully extended. It is VERY easy to put on him. He is just so excited about going out that getting him to hold still long enough to clip a leash on the two top rings is sometimes a challenge. I think it looks cute on him and he is comfortable enough to leave it on in the daytime and just take it off at night. This harness is SO much more humane in my opinion than a collar for him. It was a good purchase.
We have a Sheltie mix. We needed a bigger size so we went from a small in another brand to a medium in this one and it was a little big. Enough that we needed to adjust a little tighter. It’s a cute color too.
I have purchased many harnesses for my pup as she has gotten bigger. I feel this is the correct size but doesn't really seem to stay in place and she doesn't look too comfortable in it.
This is a great item but my dog hates it. My dog is slowly becoming paralyzed due to Degenerative Myelopathy and is 16 and a half. She is going through her final journey in this life. She falls alot and I thought it would be more comfortable picking her up with this harness than her regular harness. But no the buckel is way to high on her body and so picking her up makes it uncomfortable. I will donate it to a rescue in my area. Thank you.
I recently ordered another brand and got a large for my lab and it was too small. I figured okay I'll go big and get and XL in the brand and now we are too big. lol
Its made super well however it runs kinda small and only has adjusters for around the chest. I ordered a large for my small lab mix and it was too small so I suggest sizing up!
I really liked the looks of this harness, it fit perfectly, nice and snug and I did not worry too much about it being too snug because it is neoprene so I knew it was not going to hurt her. What I did NOT know was that she was going to pull herself right out of it. The idea of a harness is better control and so they can NOT get loose. This harness is NOT safe. Do NOT buy it unless you are only buying it because it is pretty.
I measured my dog before ordering and it was too small. Ordered the next size up.
I asked for a xsmall and got a small buti guess he will grow into it
The piece that goes down the chest and under the belly moves from side to side as the dog walked - no matter how tight I made the underbelly strap, my dog would always get a front leg out of the harness. I have a 15 lb dachshund.
