Fun Cat Toy
This Frisco Play Activity Track for cats is awesome and well made. It’s so solid that once you clip it together I’m not sure you will ever get it apart. The track comes in several pieces and can actually be put together in 2 different sizes, square or rectangle. We opted to use it as a square hoping we could change it when we wanted but not sure how easy that will be. The clips for this were almost impossible to snap in. My husband had to break out his tools to get this thing to snap together and the times we tried to it felt like the clips were just going to snap. This is made out of a very hard plastic so it doesn’t bend at all and the small clips are the same plastic so they snap in hard but they stay in well. Our car likes playing with it and it has a few different things he can do like the scratch pads on each corner and the 2 balls that roll around inside the track. It also has a little punching bag on one corner since that’s what my cat likes using it for.
Keeps One Cat Busy
Four stars because it could make better use of the corner pockets (the girls only care about the treat cubby.) It's difficult to put together, the pieces are rigid and my hands hurt after assembly, but in turn the track is very durable (and large!) The ball also doesn't come out with a few swipes like the cats' favorite track, which is a plus for me since it means no lost balls! It could use replacement ball packs, though. Cats losing track balls is unavoidable if given enough time.
Incredibly difficult assembly
This was incredibly difficult to assemble - we used some thin pliers to squeeze the clips a bit and a rubber mallet. Gentle taps - too much breaks the clips. It took 2 people. The instructions could be improved to give some tips on assembly. Also, I’m not sure how we are supposed to make a rectangular version, I did not receive any extra straight pieces. The cats sat in the middle like it was a box - LOL.
Great toy
The Frisco Play Activity Track Cat Toy is nice for my cat bubbles. Although she has just gone through surgery, it actually helped her get back into the swing of things. My cat is a senior and at this point in her life she is just a window looker. She had surgery and after the she just laid in the window. The toys stayed near her for about two days until she decided to play with it. I had to use a little catnip to get her motivated. Now it has become a every day toys. I really thinks she like the part where she can get a little scratch in. I think her favorite is chasing the ball around the toys. The different corners has allowed here to entertain herself especially since she is not a really people person.
Assembly challenge
The directions are simple to follow, but the execution of the assembly was a great challenge. The "buckles" were extremely difficult to put in. My tip is to use some extra padding (I used a blanket) to provide cushioning for your hand when inserting because it it easy for your hand to slip off the buckle and scrape it against the plastic. That being said, the track toy is enjoyed by one of my cats very much. He plays with it independently off and on through out the day.
Disappointed
My cat needs something to do constantly and I so hoped that this would work - she will play with the Ball tower thing but this was looked at less then a minute. My husband put it together with a pair of plyers and seemed to have no trouble and the price is not bad for what you get. We will donate but for the cost it might be a good idea for you cats!
I’ve been less annoyed assembling IKEA furniture
I have been working to assemble this for about 2 hours and I’m still not done. The cats seem excited about it, but assembly is extremely frustrating. The “H” buckles are just too big to fit in the slots. It shouldn’t be this difficult to put together. I don’t know if this is defective or just poor design, but either way, I wouldn’t recommend this until someone improves upon this structure. Either that, or ship them out preassembled. I’ve seriously had better luck assembling IKEA furniture. There’s probably something out there just like this that isn’t impossible to set up— I’d recommend trying to find that.
Kittens Loved it!
My kittens loved Frisco's activity track. They could not get enough of it! I eventually had to put it away at night so that we could get some sleep. My kittens were not very interested in the four corners; they only wanted the balls. It was not fun to assemble. The small prongs used to attach the sections were hard to get in. Once I had it together, I did not change to another set-up. On the bright side, I did not have to worry about the set-up not staying together. Long as my kittens love it, that's all that matters! I'm glad I got this for them.
Maine Coon approved toy
My Maine Coon has always loved playing ball so I figured she would enjoy this & she did! The blinky ball (as I call it) took it up a level but it was bought separately on Chewy.com. She is able to get the blinky ball out, which she does often if I leave the room. The 2 that come with it are larger and have a bell in them (take out at night).
Fun toy
I like having this track to keep my cat entertained without her running all over the place or losing a ball under the sofa. It stays right in the track while she plays. I must say, this was difficult to put together. The clips to attach the track were hard to attach. Otherwise, it's a nice toy.
