This bed isn't really what it's described to be. It has the foam but its pieces not one flat pieces so it's very lumpy. The bolster area is poly fill so it flattens easy. So it's really just one big flat lumpy bed. My spoiled pups actually don't lay on them at all. I donated to my local pound and purchased real bolster beds. They have used these new ones every day.
I got one of these a couple years ago for my newly rescued dog and since then, all the dogs compete over this bed. I just got a second one and it’s just as amazing and my dogs were so excited. I got the XL for my 50 lb dog and my 90 lb dog loves to curl up on the XL. I’d size up if you have a big dog that likes to sprawl out. At this rate, I’m sure I’ll have one in every room! I’ve tried so many different beds and this one is a consistent favorite that stands the test of time.
I gave this a single star because you cannot wash the inside filled liner if your dog urinates. The urine seeped directly into the filling. I would think they would at least make it with a waterproof liner. My golden retriever loves the bed and within 5 minutes urinated on the top. There was no way to save the bed. Also how can you advertise as orthopedic if the filling is shredded?
This is the second time we have bought this bed for our 60 lb Goldendoodle. She loves it. We bought the first when she was less than a year old and now that she is 5, we thought she should have a new one. The cover is removable and easily thrown in the washing machine. The bolster section has stayed firm, and after plumbing the pillow section is adequate. The old one is in the spare room for her now. The price, especially when on sale, is also a plus.
This is not an orthopedic bed, the mattress is not orthopedic. It is made of cut up prices of foam encased in cloth to make a mattress. Terrible and being returned. Also they run very small. I have an 88 pound Rottweiler and he just fits the xl bed
Our dog usually sleeps on our bed with us. She has actually slept on her new bed a few nights - without being told to do so. The bed is BIG - sized for a 90 lb dog. She can spread out in it and not hang off. It does take up floor space, but as long as our Sammi likes it... We got it recently - no dirt yet, therefore don't know how it comes out when washed.
We got this bed for our 20 lb Jack Russell and 16 lb Boston terrier/chihuahua mix to share in the living room in our new home and they both love it!!!! Nice and pillowy/plush but also some good structure to it. Def recommend!
I purchased this bed in extra-large for my 64 pound boxer princess. My very tall and long 86 pound boxer girl loves it as well. It is very well made, nice color. It has a nice firm sleeping area. It is the best dog bed I have ever seen. Photo is of my 86 pound Boxer napping in it. FAST SHIPPING- I received it 46 hours after I ordered it.
My dog loved this bed immediately. The XL fits a 72lb Staffordshire perfectly! Not too big and not too small. Very plush and well made. Excellent price for the size and quality. Highly recommend!
Purchased this because of the reviews and size. My 60lbs blackmouth cur is in love. He hadn't even tried to get on our couches because his bed is so comfortable. He has plenty of space and he loves the raised back/sides as a pillow. 100% happy and recommend.
