Dog approved
My dog loved this bed so much she started guarding it and growling whenever the other dog would go near it. She has never done this in the past. I had to teach her to share. She loves this bed, its so comfortable! I find her laying on the bed more than the couch now.
Poor Top Quality
I’m giving the bed an extra star (would have given one) as our pups loved the comfort and the bottom was sturdy. However, after one night both our 13 and 14 year old female labs had scratched holes in the tops of both beds we ordered. They are not aggressive diggers. Chewy was very nice to offer free post paid return but I needed the beds after foolishly tossing the old ones too quickly. I’ve recovered both beds in total with sturdy quilts but ugh …a waste of money. I wouldn’t purchase for a larger dog or a dog let loves to dig!
Best Dog Bed
We've gone through quite a few dog beds and our pup finally picked this as his favorite! It has great support for bigger, heavier dogs (My boy is 80 lbs), won't go flat on you in a week. The fabric is so soft, like sleeping on a cloud (I lay on it and cuddle my boy lol). Lastly, it's a great price, you really can't beat it! I highly recommend!
Just okay for the price
For the price, I was expecting a bit more quality. I would not call this an orthopedic bed. The bottom layer of foam is a bit firmer than others, but not orthopedic. It is also not particularly thick (not like the photo). We have just had it a few months, and the cover is already tearing at the seam. My dog does not chew or bite or pull on it. We have only washed it once on gentle cycle.
Cozy comfy bed
Got this comfy cozy bed for my brother's 6 yrs old beagle as my late x'mas gift. Dog sitting him for 2 weeks. I feel it's time to replace his all worn out bed and I'm so glad I bought this for him. He never left his bed for hrs. The only time he got up is when he go for potty break. As soon as he gets in back to his cozy comfy bed. B4 I bought this bed he's constantly on my couch but not today. He love his bed. Thank you chewy for selling this bed and a very good price and very fast shipping. Highly recommend this bed 10 stars all the way ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
The Favorite Bed
The moment this bed was unwrapped and placed in the living room, it was designated as the favorite bed. To the point where my dog would refuse to sleep on his other bed in our bedroom. I ended up switching them and will be replacing the other bed eventually with this model once it's back in stock. The bed was a little smaller than I expected but my dog curls up comfortably in the middle (American Bulldog, about 75 lbs). However, if he stretches out, his paws do hang a little over the end. He's been using this for more than a year and the foam is still firm and the cover is easy to throw in the wash.
Great for our Saint Bernard!
She loves this bed! She can curl up comfortably on it. When completely stretched out she hangs over the edges a little bit but doesn't care at all. Being 12 years old, she appreciates the extra cushioning on her bones. Quality materials and foam. Would definitely recommend.
Smaller than indicated
I've purchased a lot of dog beds so I know the right size that my dog needs. What I wasn't expecting on this one was for the pillow top to be a few inches longer than the bottom orthopedic foam piece. 40 inches in length for the foam piece would have been perfect, but the way this is designed, the XL is more like 37 inches in length, just a tad too short for my guy. And the cover is super loose, like it's meant to hold a larger orthopedic foam piece. It seems like it will be super comfy and I can't speak to the quality yet. Returning for an XXL
Poor quality/Excellent Customer Service
I loved this bed when it arrived. The base seemed substantial and was adequate to support my weight without pressure points when I tested it. The pillow top was plush and appeared to cradle my dog. After sniffing it out for about 5 min, he decided to get on it and just didn't get off. After one week, the cushion in the pillow top was packing down and there were holes in the pillow top. My dog is not destructive (he has stuffed toys that have been around for years) so this was just from normal us. I am very disappointed in the bed but Chewy had it's usual fabulous customer service and refunded my purchase immediately.
Most Popular Bed in the House
I have 4 other beds in the house, which are each a different style, but this one has by far become the favorite (2 dogs and 5 cats). I actually ended up ordering a 2nd one due to its popularity. One of the dogs that uses it is elderly and has arthritis. She chooses this bed over the others the majority of the time. I had to wash the cover once already, thanks to one of my cats deciding to pee on it. It came out fluffy and clean after adding vinegar to the wash. I soaked up as much as I could on the foam piece, and then generously sprayed it with Nature’s Miracle and allowed it to air dry. I put some pee pads on top of the foam when I reassembled the bed after washing, just in case. I would recommend doing that with any pet bed that doesn’t have a waterproof cover, like I should have done in the first place. I can’t speak to the durability of the bed, but hopefully it will last a long time.
