My cat likes to chew on the cardboard houses, which is why I get them for her. The top is not very secure on this one and collapsed after only 3 days of use after her birthday and is now unusable.
It’s true most cardboard houses are a bit flimsy, which is why I used hot glue to reinforce all the seams when I was putting this together. And, it has stood up to my cats and kitten climbing on it. I recommend using hot glue to reinforce this or any other cardboard hut and it will last a lot longer!
My fault for not checking dimensions, but I was expecting it to be around the same size of the other cardboard houses I've gotten from Chewy. This thing is huge! Check the dimensions to make sure it works in your space. The actual space for the cat is about the same as the other houses, but the "pot" and plant area gets up to 2.5'!
Such a terrible design. The box barely stays together as is when assembling it, and within less than 24 hours my cats had the box in pieces simply from climbing in and out of it.
This is by far the cutest cat house i have ever seen! I absolutely LOVE it! And my 3 cats love it too! I have 2 huge rag doll cats and they fit easily inside which i am thrilled about! The size is quite large and the details are everything! Nice thick cardboard with a gloss finish. Very pleased and highly recommend!
My cats love sleeping in and scratching on this cure scratcher. It's a lot bigger than I thought. Would work for a bigger cat too!
I really wasn't sure if my cat would like it, or how long it would last since she loves destroying cardboard, but so far so good! There is some gaping in the front and back because the scratch board bottom only has tape on 2 of its 4 sides to stick to the body of the box. But frankly it's not a big deal. I did laugh that the instructions warn to not let your cat jump on top of the box due to weight limitations...because we know how well they listen. So far it has survived 4 days and she's used the scratch board a few times. I also really love just how it looks in the space. For photo reference, my cat is a bit on the smaller side at 10lbs full grown and there's plenty of room for her. There is a cut out in the back for cats to go in/out from both ends, but my cat likes the corner hidey hole setup.
My cats took to this immediately. Easy to assemble, looks great in my living room area.
#ReceivedFreeProduct This was so easy to put together and once assembled, I was surprised at how roomy it is. I have many cat houses in my home, but my cat seems to like this once the most. It is spacious and dark inside. I often find him napping in it. I only expected it to last a short while, but it's been going strong for months now. My wife is obsessed with succulents so this fits right in around my home. The scratch board inside is also a big plus. Believe it or not, my cat seems to enjoy scratching this over the couch!
I think my cats are two story cardboard house cats only - The set up was easy, it took about 10 minutes and looked great until the next morning when I woke to find it flattened. I was able to salvage the big scratcher from it at least! I would recommend this for older kitties that know their size, since I suspect it was the kitten who tested the top.
