Perfect fit for K&H bed warmer
I needed a bed that I could put a XL K&H bed warmer in rather than just wrapped in a blanket on the couch. First I tried a Furhaven "orthopedic" bed (super cheap egg crate foam) but not only did my 12-lb cats bottom it out, the points of the egg crate let the heated mat keep sliding around and end up bent onto the side of the bed. Talk about a fire hazard! I'm really glad I found these Frisco beds instead. They're the perfect size for the bed warmers, the cover is thick durable fabric, the foam is heavy good-quality stuff, and my cats love it! I got the blue color because it was a lot cheaper and was happy to find that it's more of a darker blue than the pictures appeared. Works for me, but FYI if you wanted the lighter shade of blue how it looks in the product pictures. They'll be easy to clean, too, since the zipper for the cover goes around two sides, unlike some of my other beds that only open on one end. Highly recommended!
Look Ma, no egg crate!
Pros: - It's hard to find foam beds that's aren't egg crate but this one is NOT egg crate. - Has held up well over time (ie, not gone flat). - It's nice that the cover is washable. Cons: - Not quite as thick as I would like. 4" would be better for L/XL sizes but my solution is to I double up and put a Molly Mutt bed on top so my pup has an extra comfy double stack bed. Works great bc she occasionally likes to nest in her bed (and the Molly Mutt duvets are really tough) and then I only wash the cover of this one occasionally. - I did have one where the stitching was loose and came out in the wash (gentle cycle). But I've had a handful of these and only had a problem with one. Caveats: - Unless a bed is specifically designed as "tough" or "dig resistant," your dogs nails will break it down. Faster if they like to dig or nest in their bed. There's always a trade off between softness and toughness. This is a *velvet* bed so it's a soft material and if your dog is a nester or digger, they will break it down.
Great ortho bed!
My dog really enjoys laying on this bed and she has been picky over the years about beds she likes. The outer cover is so soft - great material! And the memory foam seems to be a great quality. This bed also perfectly fits her soft crate. I would buy this product again!
Recommend for dogs with DM!
My dog has degenerative myelopathy. One of the struggles was to find him a comfy bed that he can climb into. Both of his rear legs are now paralyzed so it's made it harder for him to be able to get in and out of bed. I have a corgi and his favorite thing to do is to stare out the door and bark at people! I got him the XL and it was a perfect size for him to be able to spread out and sleep however he wanted. The bed height is 3 inches, but my corgi has been able to lift himself up fine and get into the bed. Comfy bed for a very picky dog! I had to try different beds as some were a bit too high or it just didn't work. Chewy was so kind and was so understanding each time I had to return!
Enjoyed by young and old
I was looking for beds that could stand up to our three dogs. I needed something that provides the gentle cushion for our 11 year old and also could put up with the stomping and flopping of our younger dogs. This meets our needs. They did come in huge boxes(we ordered two beds). They did come with a slight bend in them that flattened out within the day. I have washed the covers and even ran the vacuum over them and the hair was easy to remove.
Well-made and comfortable
I recently bought the Frisco Quilted Orthopedic Pillow Cat & Dog Bed w/Removable Cover for my dog, and I am so pleased with it! It is well-made, comfortable, and the removable cover makes it easy to clean. My dog loves it and is so cozy and content when he is snuggled up in it. I highly recommend this bed!
Really Good
This is a really good bed for the money, but i had to buy a replacement one after a year because the cover gets worn/thin where dog lays/scratches/snuggles and it tears. A little stronger more durable cover material would earn this bed a 5 (better yet, be environmentally friendly and offer replacement covers Frisco)
So comfy!!
Was a little hesitant to purchase as it's a pretty pricey bed however by Rottweiler is obsesssedddd!! So large and so comfy - also love how the outer shell can be removed for a quick wash.
Good Crate Pad
I bought this quilted pad for my grandson's service dog's crate. The dog really likes it a lot. It fits well and appears to be comfortable. The outer cover zips off for washing.
Very Comfortable dog bed
This bed is firm and supportive yet comfortable for our 80 lb. Labrador. It is a perfect fit for the inside of our Frisco X-large crate. It provides a more comfortable and supportive bed for a big dog than the bed that came with the crate.
