Doggie Life Vest
We were planning our dogs first family boat outing and didn’t know how she would act. We know all dogs can swim, but we got this vest in case she jumped out and we needed to use the handles to haul her back in the boat. She was a little fidgety when we first put in on at home, but she got used to it and wore it without complaint on the boat outing. Easy to put on with lots of Velcro, and it worked like a harness to keep her from running off when we stopped at a beach down in the land of pleasant living along the shores of the Chesapeake Bay.
Great life jacket
After reading all the reviews I decided to size up for my dog my dog is a husky mix and weighs about 70 pounds and the extra large that I got for her fit perfect for her. There are adjustable straps to adjust the size and both the neck area and the stomach area which helped out a lot. I bought this PFD For her to go kayaking and it really does serve its purpose
Great so far!
I ordered based on the sizing chart, and while the chest fit a size M her chonk neck fit a L, so I ordered a large. Picture is her wearing the large, seems a bit big on her. I ended up buying a medium too, but may end up keeping the large in case she grows more! I got both my orders the day after I ordered them, which was so amazing!!
Excellent Visability
Bought this life preserver for a 4 month old puppy who loves going into the lake on his own, but stays where he can stand up without swimming. The best fits well, he appears comfortable in it and the orange color is very visible and it has a sturdy handle on which to pick up pup if needed. I gave it 4 stars as he hasn’t actually tried to swim yet so can’t rate it’s buoyancy.
Love This Life Jacket
My lab loves water and while he is an experienced swimmer, when swimming in new places I wanted to make sure he’s safe. I love this life jacket for the price and it’s adjustability. Works perfectly for both me and him. We have also let a few pups borrow it and they love it too!
Sulley loves his life jacket!
Sulley is a Great Pyrenees/Lab mix. He was about 100lbs in this pic and he has some wiggle room too (or did, he’s 118lbs now so I’m not 100% sure it would fit him at the moment). I definitely recommend this life jacket for big dog owners. Great quality and support and easy to get on and off of him.
Sizing is Off
The size chart is hilariously wrong - my 73lb mini bernedoodle sized as an XL, which I felt ridiculous ordering but I measured twice...so I ordered. As expected, the XL is really meant for bigger dogs.
My Remi doesn’t like this
My Remi is a lab. I got this in case he were out swimming and got tired. He want even walk with this on. I will keep trying him with it since he is 3 yo and never wore one.
Perfect fit
I ordered this for my English cream golden retriever in an extra large going by measurements. I honestly thought it was going to be too large but is is perfect! I know he’ll be safe kayaking and swimming this summer!
Good Value
Haven't had it in the water yet, but seems like a nice vest for money. Large fits our 60 lb. dog well. More importantly, when the XL we originally ordered was too large for our dog, Chewy immediately sent a Large and directed us to give the other XL vest to a local pet charity. Pretty classy.
