starting to upset me
My cat won’t drink still water anymore and this is the only fountain he will use. So I’m basically being held hostage by these things, but the pumps keep burning out. This would be fine, except chewy never has the replacement pumps in stock, which forces me to keep buying new bowls. I don’t want to do that, I just want a new pump. How hard is it to manufacture them? It feels like they don’t do we keep spending more for bowls.
Affordable and Quiet
After having just looked at the reviews and found a bunch of ridiculous ones I figured I should write a positive one. 1) This fountain is not expensive nor are the filters. 2) The long cord is quite useful for those of us who don’t have outlets everywhere. One user complained about the length and all I can say is Get A Cord Tie. 3) Durable. The two we have have been going fine for over a year. If yours stops working perhaps you should Contact Chewy And Get A Replacement 4) Of course it doesn’t work when the power goes out SMH 5) It can be a little hard to get into the nooks and crannies to clean but overall it pretty easy to take apart and clean. Which I recommend doing at least once a month if you are lax like I am. 6) I marked the min/max lines with a Sharpie because they were hard to see.
Don't waste your money
I have purchased this fountain not once, but TWICE in the last 6 months, along with a replacement pump (the short time they were available) the pumps last MAYBE 2 months so save yourself the trouble and get a different fountain.
Not Great Quality
I liked this fountain until the motor died, leaving my cats without a water source for 2 days while we were out of town. Ironic how the motor died exactly 1 year and 2 weeks after I purchased the fountain. Chewy won't replace the motor or give a refund because it's outside of their 1 year refund/return policy. But they would love to have me PURCHASE a replacement motor! This fountain is not worth the money, we'll be replacing it with something else.
Have used for three years
My cats use this all the time. I’ve had it three years and have never had a problem. My water is very clean from a 400’ deep well. I’ve only changed the filters a handful of times. My cats use it a lot as shown by the litter box contents.
Worked Great For A While
Honestly, this water fountain is really good. It worked for a long time with my older cat, and he got used to it quickly. It’s quiet, easy to refill, easy to clean and change filters. The only downside was once we adopted the two younger cats. My big fluffy orange boy somehow discovered how to open it and get the spongy filter out. All the cats LOVED to run around and play with that filter. Which meant he kept pushing and dumping the water out, no matter how full it was. We had to get a ceramic water fountain afterwards (and he still tried to dump that over! so rude lol) and that works better for our cats. TLDR: This is a great fountain! But if your cat is a curios kind, or likes to knock things over, consider going with a heavier fountain.

Worked great for a while, now it barely gets water into the bowl for the cats to drink.
Broken Water Fountain
Bought 12/8/22. Stopped working 1/26/23. My cat was rubbing against begging for love. I could see it was almost full, and I noticed no water coming out. I took it apart cleaned it & no good. Now my cats have a big water bowl. Not sure how long it had Stopped for, but my kitties were thirsty.
DO NOT BUY!!!
Like the previous review showed, today I open to change the water for the cats and change things out and the filter was RUSTY ORANGE. I believed it also even came used before I received it.
Not sanitary
We have a kitten that has been drinking from this fountain for 9 weeks. Weve had to replace the filter 3x. Today when I went to replace it it was dark rust colored and I noticed the gray bowl had been stained that way too.
