My cat loves it!
She sat on the scratcher immediately and had the ball out of the ring within 5 seconds. Why? It seems the rim was cracked but I was able to repair it with a little transparent tape. Maybe it would be better not to pack this item with a 25 lb bag of litter.
Lower quality than other scratchers
The design for this is poor--there are vertical spikes that the cardboard sits on, which doesn't keep it in; my cat easily pulls out the cardboard. It also damages the bottom so that it's not as nice when it's flipped for more use. Also, the bottom of the plastic dips, so the middle of the cardboard falls down into that rather than sitting flush.

Great idea ! Took KitKat a little while to get use to it. First time I bought it she now lives it.
My cat Luna absolutely love this! She played with it till she wore herself out, lol. I’m glad I got her this as a fun treat and I’d definitely recommend this scratch toy.
I had high hopes for this and my cats absolutely enjoyed having it for 10 minutes when they ripped the center cardboard out due to it not having anything to actually hold it in. I put in a second one as I got refills and that took 3 minutes to come out. Big disappointment.
Destroyed Quickly
My cat loved this toy when it was first taken out of the box, but within 10 minutes she had already pulled out the cardboard section. There's no way for it to stay in properly. I considered gluing it, but if I do that I can't replace it easily. She loves playing with the ball and scratching, but everyone she scratches now she just pulls it right out. Disappointed.

middle does not stay in
I am wanting to return this. three times now the middle part has come out. I have another one that I have had for years that has never happened to.
