Can I use Frisco or Arm & Hammer pellets that disintegrate as they absorb urine? Will they block vents or go onto urine pads? I have 6 cats, using 6 boxes. Want to try 1 before considering switch.
How this system work In case if urine it just sits their ?

This litter box system works by sifting the dirty litter instead of scooping it out. To use, stack the boxes so that the sifter is between the 2 solid pans, and then pour the fresh litter into the top pan. Once it's ready to sift, remove the top litter box and pour the contents into the sifter pan with the second empty pan underneath. Lift and shake the sifter and dispose of any clumps. Then place the sifter pan inside the empty pan, and the full litter pan inside the sifter so all three are stacked up again.
What is the width of the sifting slits? Are they greater than 1/4"?

The sifting slits are approximately 1/6 of an inch.
Do you only use clumping litter in this pan?

GREAT IDEA

ORDERED THIS SIFTING LITTERBOX. ALTHOUGH IT WAS VERY WELL MADE, AT 82 THE LITTER SECTION WAS HEAVY FOR ME TO LIFT. CHEWY CREDITED MY ACT. AND IT WENT TO SAFE HAVEN IN WELLS, MAINE.

Works Great when used as instructed!

I almost didn't buy this because so many of the reviews are unfavorable about the poop, etc, getting stuck in the grates... Then I kept reading, THANKFULLY - and someone stated the obvious! The grated part does NOT go on top, it goes in the middle (like the photo and the instructions clearly show). you lift the top pan, pour into the grated pan with 3rd pan under it, then lift the grated pan to let the unused little sift out into that 3rd pan. simply pour the clumps from grated pan into a bag to throw out. Replace in proper order. This saves me a bunch of time and nobody likes scooping individual clumps/poop. I use the Worlds Best Litter with it and it works great.

Purrfect for non-clumping crystal litter

It was time to replace my Jungle Beast's litter box and I decided to try a sifting style box even though these are geared more towards clumping litters...I use the non-clumping crystal litter. Why did I wait this long to try the sifting box?! It is like a single-step 'scoop and rake' that is far quicker and more efficient than my scooping the solids and raking the litter in a jumbo litter box. Less time scooping and raking, even less dust generated with an already low dust type of litter. Very easy to lift the sifter and not at all heavy since the most solids left in a day are a couple boom-booms. Plus efficient sifting for the rapid evaporation of liquids from the crystals. Highly recommend this box with non-clumping crystal litter.

Not tall enough

I thought I would try a three piece sifting litter system. But I forgot why I use the biggest tallest litter box you sell. My cat likes to poop off the side. The sifting part worked great. But the wet stuff sticks to the bottom, so it is not completely without the need to scrape and scoop. So far not great.

Nice and Big

I have a big cat, so this is nice for that, the only reason I didn't give it a 5 star is because the litter sticks to it so you cannot sift it so well through the sifter. I did get scoop which helps that, but I seem to have just made more work for myself.

Generously sized pan. Easy to use siffing system. I plan to replace the second cat pan with one of these too.

Works great

Not sure why some people are having trouble getting the sifter to work. I use Tidy Cat clumping cat litter and I had no issues. Also the size works great for a larger cat.

Not for older folks

If you keep the grate in the middle like it's supposed to be it works fine. It is hard to dump without making a mess as litter will be falling through the sifter while you are pouring. It is VERY difficult to maneuver if you are older like me. Remember you are picking up a full litter box to dump. Lightweight litter would be ideal but that is still to heavy for me. When I was a bit younger I can see how this would be easy enough (aside from the mess dumping it) its also not very deep so if you have a kicker that is another mess you have to deal with. I have given up and gone back to scooping out a regular litter box

Slit holed litte rpan

This litter pan is sturdy and a nice larger size. There are not holes but longer slits in the holed pan. This is not working with my litter type, as slits are too large. Additionally, some waste goes thru the large slits, making litter cleaning poor.
