Litter box duty is a whole lot easier without all the scooping! This litter box includes a sift that does most of the work for you, so you don’t need a scooper or liner. Built for felines that prefer open spaces, it features an elevated frame to help prevent over-the-edge litter spills without boxing your kitty in. It comes with two trays that work with the sift to capture fresh litter that falls through, so you can keep it clean with less effort.

Key Benefits

  • Easy to maintain without scooping with a built-in sift that captures poop and clumps, and keeps fresh litter in.
  • For daily maintenance, just lift sift and toss waste. No need for scooping or plastic liners.
  • Contour handles make it easy to handle during cleanup, even when full of litter.
  • Made of BPA-free, durable, recyclable plastic that’s easy to clean with just soap and water.

Great Concept - but it doesn't work overall

    By on

The idea is a good one...... Make a false-bottomed litter box, having a middle-mounted grate that emulates having one giant-sized litter scoop resting in the bottom of the box. The problem is liquid runs into and sticks in the grids - and clay-like "mud" is made. Even using high dollar litter, ("Slide", and other good clumpers) - it just can't be avoided. The muddy clumps don't separate or isolate themselves as balls or logs for clean sifting. So you end up scooping - and then cleaning the middle layer grate anyway. Good news is - the sifting litter box is still very usable, so it is NOT a wasted expense. But you will want to hang on to your old scoop as well! So I still recommend the The idea is a good one...... So I still recommend the sifting box - since it works as advertised "somewhat" - and it is not really more expensive than any other box of its quality. Our 2 Highlander kittens have used two of these boxes since we got them at 12 weeks old. No issues whatsoever. … more

    5 cat household approves

I have 5 cats...and a dog! With that many pets, and kids in the house too, I just don't have time to spend scooping all the time. So far, this has really cut down on the time I spend cleaning litter boxes. I use a really sticky clumping litter, so I do still have to scrape the occasional clump off of the bottom of the pan when I dump it into the sifter, but overall this is so much faster. I have two of these so far and may get one more. I also have a top entry litter box which a couple of my cats prefer so I can't replace them all. My only wish is that it had the option to purchase a lid. One of my male cats sometimes pees standing up and sprays urine on the floor. He doesn't do it all the time I have 5 cats...and a dog! Sifter Hints

    By on

I don't have this exact sifter, but I've been using the sifter system for years. The trick is, don't leave the sifter in the box. When the box gets dirty, you put the sifter into a clean, empty pan, then dump the dirty pan into it. Lift the sifter, agitate it gently to separate all the clean litter, then dump the sifter. All that's left in the previously clean, empty pan is clean litter. Nothing is stuck in the sifter. You'll still have to scrape the dirty pan, but you won't be mixing it with any clean litter.

I wish I had invented this product. IT WORKS !!!

    By on

We have multiple cats and multiple litter boxes. Using this sifting box to remove the waste from our litter boxes makes my life easier and makes the job faster. One word of caution though, you need a large trash can opening to pour the waste into (or a large garbage bag stretched open). Once I get myself set up, this works like a charm. Awesome product.

Nice big litter box, also a cool change

    By on

I like the sifting idea and it works pretty well. Some clumps always stick to the sides, so be sure to still keep a litter scoop nearby...also a broom, since dumping the clumps into a garbage without spilling isn't easy. Best part of this litter box is the nice wide and tall size. Its much bigger than a normal box!

    This works great!!

    By on

This takes so much less time to clean than trying to scoop all the clumps. I rescued 3 brother cats and "poop-scoopin" seemed to be non stop. Thank you chewy.com for offering this product. I had never heard of it till I found it on your site.

    Sifting Cat Litter Box

    By on

Size is good, however, I have three cats and 3 litter boxes but this one the litter clumps still stick to the bottom of the pan and I still have to use the scooper. I have sprayed the bottom of the pans which has helped some. It is quicker to clean but a little heavy to lift with litter to dump. I clean my boxes 2 to 3 times a day and this has helped me somewhat.

A great open litter box. We love it!

    By on

Perfect big open box for "messy" cat kids! Large and deep enough to keep litter in the box not on the floor. Not a fan of the sifting tray however, as claws tend to get caught in the holes. We prefer a smooth surface.

    Good size litter box

    By on

I was disappointed in this product. Sifting litter made sense logically but in reality it didn't make for less mess. Now I have two boxes to clean instead of one. I do, however like the larger size of the litter box.

    Great Litter Box!

    By on

If you have an adult kitty this is a great 3 piece cat sifting litter box :) It comes with 2 pans and 1 sifter pan. It's been a great buy, my cat automatically used it. It's really convenient and it's bigger than you think!
