I foster kittens and keep litter boxes in a closet. I have large plastic mats under the litter boxes, but litter still gets out and then spreads everywhere. I put this mat in front of the plastic mats. The grip is not great so I have been keeping a small item on one end to keep it in place. However, I did not grade the mat negatively for the grip because the mat does such a good job keeping the litter in.
This mat originally caught my eye because of its gorgeous, natural rattan color. I didn't really think it was going to be that efficient at trapping the litter from my cat's litter box, but I was wrong! I barely see any litter trails from my cat, making my home so much cleaner. Would definitely recommend buying it.
This little rug is fantastic! It catches the litter when kitty comes out of box. Also, my kitty loves to scratch on it. It seems to hold up well. Good purchase!
For looks and performance, this mat is a success. It catches whatever litter sticks to my cat's paws and the amount of tracked litter on the floor is now practically none. Plus it looks more elegant than the rubber or synthetic mats I've had before. The only reason I am not giving it five stars (yet) is because I haven't yet needed to clean it due to any accidents, so I don't know how it will perform. So far, though, quite pleased with this item.
Formerly feral Tatiana, who likes to stretch and scratch at floor level (the rugs) uses it as a scratch pad. Bobo our blind guy, thinks it's the best bed of all time, preferring it to his pillows & boxes.
A family member recently adopted 2 young shelter cats. He's lived with cats while living at home, but now is on his own. The cats started clawing on the furniture. I suggested a spray bottle of water and then ordered this mat and a scratching post. The mat has been great! The cats use it for their scratching. I don't know if it's being used at the litter box, but the weave is such that it should easily capture stray litter. Love this!
This mat is going to be used to reupholster an old chair the cat loves to scratch. So far The Shadow loves it
Our kitten loves this round thank God. It's much better than her doing furniture
My cats prefer floor scratchers rather than the vertical posts. We have both sizes in our home.
Purchased to be paired with a small, basic litterbox. Cats don't mind stepping on it, collected the litter, but can easy shake it in the trash to get the litter off.
