I bought this black Friday 2022. Yes bedding falls out the front when you open the doors. It does on the critter nation cages too even after adding the extra guards. Downside: arrived slightly damaged but was easily able to bend the few wires back in place. It's super heavy so not surprised as my uses worker delivers alone. My rats love digging the bedding off the pan and chewing up the pan corners. I've gone through 1 pan a month . Pros. Folds in shape and can put together in under 15 mins. I have moved a bunch and this cage is way way faster to take apart and put together. Wires are spaced right that you can use it as a nice parakeet cage. If you need to separate the levels take one of the ramps and slide it between the pan and the wire with the "hook" pointing up.
First i want to say i understand why a lot of people say it came damaged. it is over 100lbs. the fedex drivers had to use a dolly and lets just be honest fedex isnt always the most careful with packages. luckily i live about 2 hours from where chewy ships their stuff from. so it was only on the truck for a few hours. the outside of my package was a little rough. you could tell they rolled it a lot of the way. but again 100lb package. i had to do the same. building it was so easy compared to most cages. i would recommend two people if you can manage. one bad thing i will say about it is the screws didnt go in all the way on quite a few of the screw holes and after breaking one i wasnt going to try to force anything else. after 30 minutes the cage was fully built and ready for my ratties. it is quite heavy even on wheels but moves fairly well even on carpet. overall very happy with it and would recommend. just wish chewy didnt have to go through fedex mainly.
