I decided to try this brand since the price was pretty good for the amount that you get. However I noticed very quickly upon opening the first bag and putting some in my hamsters enclosure that it's EXTREMELY dusty. Tons of dust would come pouring out when you break apart the clumps. It created a whole layer of dust to form all around the enclosure and my arms from a small amount of bedding. I'm afraid it's not very suitable if you're shopping for a hamster since this much dust will likely cause respiratory issues if your hamster burrows in it. I can't say for sure about other animals but definitely a no for hamsters
I have two house rabbits. Normally I use Carefresh, but I decided to try this while it was on sale around Black Friday and I regret it! I finally used the rest of it and while I used it, I couldn't stand it! The litter stuck to my poor bunnies and hence ended up all over. The oder from the litterbox was noticable within a few hours of cleaning it while I used this. Carefresh I can go for about two days before I notice smell and have to clean the box. Definitely not worth it!
Very disappointed. Super dusty and the 2 packages are very different sizes so how can you believe it’s the right amount. Total waste going out to buy a decent bag.
Like any paper bedding i dont think they'll be really really 99% dust free. Reality check. Theyre quite soft. Absorbency wise, eh, same as others. Didnt notice any smell. You can get good hand exercise trying to wrestle the bedding out and actually crumpling them to BE bedding and not a boulder or block. Not too bad overall.
Yes, it WAS like brown paper bag shreds. Packed so tightly, you had to wrestle it apart. Now, it's MUCH softer, but oh so dusty! Honestly, I liked it better when it was brown paper bag shreds. You could pack it down flatter so it was good for animals with mobility issues - it gave them a firmer surface to move on. Now, it's very soft, but much too dusty for me. Cost is good, so if dust isn't an issue for you, maybe give it a try?
I really loved their white bedding, but since the price went way up I thought I'd try this one. It is very soft, but it's terribly terribly dusty. I won't buy this one again. Very disappointed.
It's an ok bedding. My rabbit uses a litter box in her cage. If left for a long time litter box is like a pee soup with bedding in it. I change the litter box often so it works out ok. I wouldn't personally uses this for other small animals that don't use litter boxes it would be a mess. I also had the same issue of only receiving 1 package when I ordered a 2 pack but chewy fixed it immediately.
While this product overall is good, these bags are VERY tiny! It says 36L and it is a 2 pack, which would give you 72L total, however, this is more like 36L total with both bags. Not worth the money.
Good, high quality product. Nice soft bedding with no fragrance.
Was really really excited about this stuff and couldn’t wait to try it out and I am very very sad to say that I am highly highly highly disappointed! It was basically like throwing toilet paper in with my rats, it did not hold odor it did not hold moisture, it was absolute garbage 150% I am so disappointed! I love Frisco and I love to love Frisco and Chewy but I am really disappointed this time!! The stuff needs to be thicker needs to be made better! Maybe they’ll upgrade it but until then I will not be using this!!
