Excellent Scratcher
My youngest cat absolutely loves this box. And I mean, LOVES. He plays in it, sleeps in it and has absolutely destroyed it. In a good way of course. He's a tad big for it, so when he stretches, it pulls the sides apart. But, I will continue to purchase this box nonetheless. I will forewarn, it is messy. My cat will scratch it which causes bits of cardboard to collect. He'll then get in there and flip the box over and get the pieces everywhere. I don't mind, but some others might. So I wanted to just add that in there. My only wish is that it came in more colors/patterns!!! I definitely recommend!
Size change and request for refills
I have been ordering these step-in scratchers for my cat Nugget for a few years now. She loves to sleep and dig! I would love if the company offered replacement cardboard pads for the bottom of the box because my cat digs through them quickly, and she gets attached to “her box.” I’m not requesting because I’m cheap, but because I hate the waste of tossing a perfectly good box bed because the bottom insert is worn out. The last one I ordered in the pattern Galaxy was a few inches smaller both width and length, and my cat is kinda squished.
A big hit
My car is not a particular fan of boxes but she loves this. She sharpens her claws on it frequently, sits in it for long periods each day, lays down in it and plays with pieces of paper that she claws out of it. However, it's not very messy. The pieces of paper are few. I've scattered a little catnip in it twice but she likes it whether the catnip is fresh or not.

I just rescued this cat a couple of months ago from the humane society. He immediately started going for my rugs (I have a carpet tree for him to scratch) after noticing his love for the chewy box and the paper in it, I decided to buy him a cardboard scratcher. Now my rugs are safe from his claws as he exclusively scratches his scratcher box. Plus he sleeps in it, chills in it, and scrilatches the everything life out of it. Win!!!!! I chose flowers cuz I like flowers and my cat has the worst taste in decor...
One Time Use
My cats LOVED this scratch box. However, I don't recommend it because you can't replace the scratcher. I've looked everywhere and can't find any that are 11x14.5! You're better off getting one that you can replace instead of having to keep buying the whole thing.
So Good She Wouldn’t Let It Go
My cat loved this. She used it despite it being shredded after a couple of weeks. It was her favorite. The higher sides gave her a little bit of comfort/protection so she’d stay in it and sleep in it all the time. She was bummed when we finally had to get rid of it!
Immediate hit!
My old man cat is very picky with scratch surfaces and thus it forces me to trim his nails by hand more often which he hates. I ordered this with the hope the box aspect would entice him and it was a success! Even without the catnip he loves sitting and scratching this. It's the perfect size and material. I'd recommend it for any other picky cats :)
Excellent Scratching Post/Bed!
The moment I opened this step-in scratcher, my cats were drawn to it and ended up loving it!! Just wow...I didn't even OPEN the catnip, removed it actually, and they still can't stop rubbing their faces on the edges! Am so tickled they are happy with this item, might have to buy another one.
Great, sturdy and popular
Just love these! I have several in different colors. They last and don't "shed" too much. They are really sturdy and last a long time. Excellent as scratcher, bed and playhouse these are a great choice at a really reasonable price!
Cat Scratcher
This is the second box scratcher I've bought from Chewy. My cat likes this style much better because the sides are higher so it's more box like. However, it's just a little too short so it's hard for him to curl up in, but he continues to try. It would be ideal if the manufacturer made one that was 4-6 inches longer for larger animals.
