This Frisco straw-tactic toy is perfect for smaller birds like parakeets and cockatiels. It has an easy to use hanger that twists close. My cockatiel takes a little time adapting to anything new in his cage so he's has been avoiding the toy. He loves bells though so he'll give in sooner or later. I attached it to the outside of the cage first for a couple days then moved it in. I think many birds are like this about their space being "invaded" by something new. Overall the toy is well made and easy to attach to a bird cage.
I got this Frisco Straw-Tastic Bird Chew Toy for my new buddy, Frankie. He originally belonged to my friend but she moved out of town and couldn't take him with her. I've had him a few months now and he seemed kind of bored, so I put this in his cage. At first, I think he was afraid of it but now he plays with it ALL the time. He's a 5 yr old cockatiel. It's already looking a little beat up so I'm gonna get him a new one to have for when this one falls apart- I don't wanna risk him swallowing any of it. It's a cute toy and keeps him entertained- He has a lot of fun with it & seems happy which makes me happy!
I gave my cockatiel the chew toy to try. He liked it at first and did play with it. He seems to be bored with it now and just ignores it. I think if it was more colorful or had some other things on it, he might be more interested. I think it is a good size though and would keep a bird occupied chewing on it. My bird just seems to get bored with things. I'm sure he will go back to it eventually to play with when he gets bored with the other things in his cage.
Frisco Straw-Tastic Bird Chew Toy is great. My bird loves it. It is lasting a good amount of time. The clasp is nice and strong and easy to use. My bird is really enjoying pecking and climbing all over it. He loves hearing the bell ring.
I have a bared eye cockatoo named gizmo and he loves chewing on it and shaking it acting all silly im glad he likes his new toy.
My birds have gone through this chew toy in a matter of days. They loved it and often found them engaged with it. It's small enough not to take up space in their cage but big enough for them to attach on it and play/chew on the material.
When I received the toy my bird was so happy. He was instantly amazed and so entertained with the toy. It is not boring and everytime he sees, he is amazed. Does not take up space very small and safe for birds
We got this for our 26 year old parakeet. We weren’t sure at his age if it would peak his interest, to our surprise, it did. We caught him playing around with it a day after we introduced it to his cage.
I was expecting this bird chew toy to be bigger then it truly was. Sadly it got shredded within a few minutes of being put into our birds cage. Highly only recommend if you have a small bird.
This bird toy was built very well. This is my bird's new favorite toy. He's been talking to it all morning. This is going to be great for his week and his energy during the day.
