If you don’t have a fenced-in yard, a tie-out cable provides dogs with secure access to the yard so they can take care of potty business. Designed to work together with any stake plus a dog collar (not included), it creates a safe zone that allows dogs the freedom to go outside while preventing them from escaping the yard if they get distracted. That way, you can make sure your pup makes good use of his outdoor time—like answering the call of nature—instead of getting into doggy shenanigans. It’s easy to use—just clip one of the metal swivel clips to one side of the stake (not included), and the other one to your dog’s collar. After your dog “goes”, simply unclip and they’re ready to come back inside. These tie-out cables are available in a variety of lengths and widths so you can find the one that’s just right for your pup.

This tie out lasted 5 months. At the time of it snapping my GSD is only 9 months old. Issue is, this is the strongest thing I have found yet. I would like to know what kind of airplane this cable is used for...........
It took some time to unwind the curls, but the lead is doing well after frosts and snow. No issues with the clip yet, minor rust spotting from moisture on the coating finish of the clip.
The cord is very sturdy, and great for a strong dog. But, the latch opens easily, and my dog has got loose three times. Luckily, I keep an eye on him while he's tied out so he hasn't ventured far!
I use this to let my German Shepherd go out to do her business. Seems to be very sturdy and it's 5' longer than the ones I've bought previously.
Product as described. Super fast shipping. Always pleased with Chewy!
The metal thumb piece (used to push down the spring) broke off after only a couple of weeks.
This is a wonderful tie out !probably one of the best I ever had ! Than you Chewy for having such great products at great prices !
This cable is great I get to hang around the front yard with my Dad, it's strong enough to hold my 65 lbs of muscle. I kind of like running towards my fur friends, and my humans are scared that I may get hurt by a car. As much as I try this thing won't let me go. WOOOOF WOOOOF WOOOOF
Worth the couple extra dollars. We have a charging dog who has snapped the clips on many other ones. This one holds up.
This tie out seems to hold up better than others, this is the one I always buy, I currently have three, one for backyard, front yard, then I purchased a third to take with me on trips for my husky.
