Super hard to put together and door isn’t seamless to open

The assembly was extremely tough and the instructions were not super helpful. The base has to fit inside of the top, not lining up the pieces for anyone putting it together. Also working in the veterinary field, having a carrier that you can’t easily take apart (for spicy cats) is a negative for sure and with the bolts it’s difficult since you need a screw driver to do so. The door opens nicely but in order to close the carrier you have to wiggle it to fit back in. I mean it’s going to work for what you want it to - to contain your cat, but I would recommend to spend a bit extra to get one that can come apart easier (to make your veterinary team happy) and has a better door. Good thing I’ll be using this on a friendly kitty.

Chewy gets 5 stars for amazing customer service and immediately responding to my concerns. First carrier was missing bolts and the door. Chewy sent me a new one immediately- and asked me to donate first one to a shelter. Second one came with no bolts. There is a gap b/t the door and sides to the carrier.

Large gaps around door

I have many other Frisco products that I like, but this one is a miss for me. Assembly was slower than necessary because the top and bottom pieces don’t line up easily. Once I got it together I noticed large gaps on either side of the front door. Definitely large enough for a paw to get stuck. This kennel might be safe for a docile dog but for a squirmy cat it’s a definite NO from me.

The carrier was extremely hard to put together

I needed help putting the carrier together. In the end, my sister put it together but my sister told me that it seemed warped. She did it, but I cannot give it a high rating. I have bought a different carrier that worked like a charm.

Sturdy, mostly pre-assembled, Cat-Carrier

Anyone who has ever had to do the "cat-stuff" with very large, non-compliant and strong willed cat's with their breaks on, will certainly appreciate the ease of use of the top door. I have two 17lb and one 14lb neutered tom-cat's. And the 14 lb-er is the toughest But with this new carrier design, its through the top, in and done. This carrier also arrived mostly pre-assembled with clear instructions; and strong metal screws (INCLUDED) to be used to ensure that it didn't come apart at the vulnerable connecting points. No catastrophes (cat-toss-trophies) when carried by the top handle even. It's trustworthy not to come apart! I've become accustomed to carrying by the sides of carriers to avert disasters, which leaves fingers vulnerable to vengeance from daggers.

Travel crate

Well made, reasonably priced crate to put a small pet in to go to vet etc. I have a Maltese mix 6 month old puppy. She can stand, momentarily in it & turn around. Wouldn’t recommend for taller dog.

nice and sturdy, love the top opening for cats that dont wanna go inside but will walk out from bottom door, easy to put together

Cat loves to nap in carrier

Was easy to assemble. I left the carrier open on a table so squeak could get used to it before using it to transport her to vet. It is now her favorite place to nap and is a permanent fixture.

Great features!

I haven't actually used it yet, but foresee no problems. I like the two doors and the way you can take off the top after removing the bolts and unlatching. It's a good size for a cat. Seems sturdy.

no escape

Jumper can no longer tear holes thru the mesh to escape from the carrier. Plastic is basically what she needs to keep her safe in the car.
