This kennel is not escape proof. Please kennel train your dog. For training tips, please see the instruction manual. Does my dog have to be kennel-trained to use this kennel? To make sure your dog adapts well to their new kennel, we recommend looking at the “Kennel Travel and Training Tips” section on the instruction manual and monitoring your pet closely during the first few days.
Begin by slowly introducing dog to crate encouraging the dog with positive reinforcement. Allow dog to acclimate to the crate slowly. Always consult vet or trainer for specific training tips!
This kennel is not recommended or tested for use with small animals.
This carrier is approved for airline travel, but it is important to always check with your airline to make sure you understand their guidelines for flying with pets.
Yes, but it is recommended to go on a test run first. Before using the kennel to take your pet someplace she doesn’t want to go, like the vet, do a practice run and go somewhere fun. Take her on an adventure to the dog park, dog beach, a friend’s house, or even just around the neighborhood and back so that being in the kennel isn’t a cause for her to be scared or upset.
Never stack kennels with animals inside.

This is a great, durable and easy to operate as well as affordable pet carrier. The first was bought for my cat and the second was bought for my daughter who was moving with her cat. The top entry is an ideal access option for cats highly recommended. The first, same brand carrier has lasted 5 years thus far.
I had to get a hard carrier for my little boy as he gets nervous when traveling. He rips through the mesh bags and have gone through 3 since adopting him. So I decided to look for a hard carrier. After searching for dozens I am very happy with this purchase. He had plenty of room and my little 14 pound baby boy was happy and didn’t destroy anything. I got him a comfy mat as well. George gives it a solid A+ and also got a clean bill of health at his check up! Also the other kittys just like sleeping in it now.
I purchased this to make it easier to get our cats in and not have to try and shove them in through a small entrance. This is a very spacious carrier, even for a big kitty like we have. We have done used it to transport our 12 lb eighborhood cat to the vet. The tall entry door made it much easier but we did use the top door to drop her into it due to her not really a fan of being in a kennel. She was not happy being contained. I would have preferred clamps or something besides bolts but I don’t plan on taking it apart. We did have to carve out a bit more o e of the top holes for the top latch because it did not align correctly. Once that was done I really do like this. Be aware this is a heavier kennel that might make it difficult for someone to carry that has health issues. With out cat in it and the size I’m glad I didn’t have to carry it very long. Just be aware of what your needs may be before purchasing any carrier. We will never use this for air travel either as it’s not in our plans to do that with the cats.
If you shop by price and quality as I do this is what you should buy! I also bought a Midwest Spree carrier which is a less expensive option. I much prefer this one with the top and front door. This one is screwed together rather than tabbed and has latch openers rather than knobs. This one will last you lifetimes of vet trips for the cat no matter what age or size.
This is a great carrier, but is enormous! My 8 pound New Zealand White has way more space than needed - and that’s the extra small carrier! I measured the one my rabbit came to me in (she’s my foster fail) and thought this was comparable, but it’s huge! I’m probably going to bond her, so I’m holding on to it to transport a pair. Would recommend for those who have cars (I don’t and it’s a challenge to carry while walking and riding the subway) and for those who have medium dogs or multiple cats or rabbits needing transport. It’s sturdy and looks nice.
Have not used the crate yet to transport two 9 week old kittens, but we leave it out for them to get used to. They like to sleep in it together sometimes on the pad also purchased from Chewy. The crate is definitely large enough for them, but suspect we may need an additional crate as they grow.
Perfect solution for cat pet owners. No more fighting trying to push the cat in from end gate, the top load is easy,Drop the cat in and close it.
To small for 14lb Dachshund. Inside floor is 12W X 19L & 6H to top where pieces connect so about 12in tall overall. Would work if your pet is smaller. The top latch door needs to be ensured it's latched; but once latched it seems strong.
I'm using the pink 19" kennel for transporting two 9-pound rabbits. There's still room for them to walk around so it's working out great. After assembly the end and top doors seem secure and work find. I recommend this kennel for bunny transport!
We bought two of these per our new vets recommendation for top opening crates to replace our older standard ones. We were pleasantly surprised at how sturdy they are and how easy to put together. And with the sometimes unavoidable mess cats can make when stressed during a car ride, we learned they are also super easy to clean. We purchased the 24" crates. Both cats are about 10lbs and they fit just fine. The crates are probably a tad on the big side for them, but we preferred that should they need to be used for an extended trip to allow plenty of room.
