This kennel is not escape proof. Please kennel train your dog. For training tips, please see the instruction manual. Does my dog have to be kennel-trained to use this kennel? To make sure your dog adapts well to their new kennel, we recommend looking at the “Kennel Travel and Training Tips” section on the instruction manual and monitoring your pet closely during the first few days.
Begin by slowly introducing dog to crate encouraging the dog with positive reinforcement. Allow dog to acclimate to the crate slowly. Always consult vet or trainer for specific training tips!
This kennel is not recommended or tested for use with small animals.
This carrier is approved for airline travel, but it is important to always check with your airline to make sure you understand their guidelines for flying with pets.
Yes, but it is recommended to go on a test run first. Before using the kennel to take your pet someplace she doesn’t want to go, like the vet, do a practice run and go somewhere fun. Take her on an adventure to the dog park, dog beach, a friend’s house, or even just around the neighborhood and back so that being in the kennel isn’t a cause for her to be scared or upset.
Never stack kennels with animals inside.
This is a great carrier, but is enormous! My 8 pound New Zealand White has way more space than needed - and that’s the extra small carrier! I measured the one my rabbit came to me in (she’s my foster fail) and thought this was comparable, but it’s huge! I’m probably going to bond her, so I’m holding on to it to transport a pair. Would recommend for those who have cars (I don’t and it’s a challenge to carry while walking and riding the subway) and for those who have medium dogs or multiple cats or rabbits needing transport. It’s sturdy and looks nice.
To small for 14lb Dachshund. Inside floor is 12W X 19L & 6H to top where pieces connect so about 12in tall overall. Would work if your pet is smaller. The top latch door needs to be ensured it's latched; but once latched it seems strong.
We bought two of these per our new vets recommendation for top opening crates to replace our older standard ones. We were pleasantly surprised at how sturdy they are and how easy to put together. And with the sometimes unavoidable mess cats can make when stressed during a car ride, we learned they are also super easy to clean. We purchased the 24" crates. Both cats are about 10lbs and they fit just fine. The crates are probably a tad on the big side for them, but we preferred that should they need to be used for an extended trip to allow plenty of room.
bought this carrier for my little girl EBONEY. my cat is about 11 lbs. this is not only nice looking but sturdy love that blue also bought pad to go inside easy to put together would recomend it to anyone
Suprised by how large it seems for a 19 inch xxsmall size... For some reason, there are a lot of extra bolts and wingnuts...an excessive amount...and I'm wondering why. About to use it for the vets tomorrow and I think it seems too large to secure in the car...there are no places on the carrier to secure it with a seat belt.
I purchased this hard crate for my cat when she went in for spay surgery, it's very sturdy and easy to put together. Plenty of room for her to move around. I also purchased a bed to go inside which made it more comfortable for her.
Sturdy, easy to put together, cute colors and getting my girl in and out of it isn’t hard at all. All around very happy with my purchase and I did a lot of research beforehand!
I was in a car accident with my cat in this carrier. The other car hit right into the side that my cat was on. Our vet told us this carrier saved her. The door popped off and it did get dented, but my cat was perfectly fine. The car that hit us was going 50 mph. To only have the car carrier be dented and the door pop off was a miracle. My girl is still here and alive because of this carrier. I plan on replacing the no longer usable carrier with another just like it. I cannot recommend this carrier enough! It’s got great features and works well, but it’s durability and safety offered are top tier.
This carrier has been perfect for transporting my cats as well as keeping an occasional chicken in my basement for a few days when they decide to do a heavy molt in the middle of the winter. I use the top door for placing the chicken in the crate (lined with a dog training pad) and the door on the end for hanging little saucers of food and water. Works great. The cats are semi-feral barn cats, so I put a little wet food (a rare treat) in the crate and let them walk in themselves. Cleaning is simple, too. Just unscrew the top from the bottom and rinse or scrub, whatever is necessary.
Great Carrier! Spacious, top & front doors, easy to clean/assemble. Gives your animal lots of space and allows for easy access for veterinarians. Keep an eye on the screws as they are sought after by vets and will return it to you with tie wraps instead. They are great and must of lost their screws (ha, ha) and wanted yours. Just check this when picking up your animal.
