Great Crate
By MawPaw on Apr 3, 2021
Exactly what my cat needed. Well made, strong crate that's not heavy. The only issue were the screws that came with it. They were about a 1/2 inch too long for the wigs to seal the top and bottom. Went to hardware store and bought the right size screws. Problem easily solved. Before I decided to purchase this crate, I bought a soft carrier that advertised for large cats. Ended up returning and found this one. This crate was a perfect fit for my cat. She loves to lay in the crate with the door open near the back sliding door and watch all the squirrels and bird that come and feed the food we put out.

Dual Door Carrier
By Felines on Mar 28, 2021
We have four cats. Three are geriatric and require a few vet visits a year. None of them like being in a carrier and thus make quite a fuss about it. We, Vet techs, and doctors have always had problems with getting them in and out of the 'standard' front-door only carriers. Our cats are nice at the vet's once they are out of the carrier, but the removal struggle is difficult, especially for our Tomcat who is very large and quite strong. We purchased this dual-door carrier after doing an internet search. Only two days after we received it, one of the cats had an appointment for a follow up exam. This top-load carrier is a real blessing for us, the vet tech and doctor, not to mention reduced stress on the pet. The carrier we have (24") is perfectly sized for even a very large cat. The quality is good, the doors operate easily and are secure, and I have a feeling they would carry more weight than recommended. Ease of assembly is also good. It only takes about 15 minutes or so. Just make certain the special nuts are tight, and they should not come loose. The only tool we used was a pair of pliers to make certain the nuts were tight (I have some very slight hand weakness due to age.) We highly recommend this item, and personally feel it is a VERY good value for the cost and convenience. … more

doors are unusable
By Skye on Mar 15, 2021
This seems like it would be a nice carrier, except the holes for the side door on the upper blue portion of the carrier don't line up with the prongs on the door, making it unusable. I tried flipping the door over but it doesn't fit either way. Chewy sent me a replacement that has exactly the same problem, so it's definitely not just a one-off issue. And now I have to dispose of two very large plastic carriers somehow, which is an extra annoyance. (And I feel bad for sending them to the landfill, but there's nowhere in my area that can recycle this type of plastic.) I know I can get a refund but I'm incredibly disappointed in this product on many levels.

Easy to put together but sturdy
By MalLoki90 on Apr 3, 2021
I purchased one for each of my two large-ish cats (14lbs and 15lbs) for our upcoming move. You don't need any tools to put these crates together and the directions were easy to understand. I am in no way skilled in putting together things like this, so it is impressive that I built it easily. Both cats love them. I added some blankets and now they actually like to hang out in their kennels. Overall, I am very happy with these!

somehow, he was calm after going in this carrier
By catmom on Apr 5, 2021
our cat walked straight in this carrier and was pretty calm after being closed in. Having a little bed for the carrier helped make him comfortable, and I highly suggest adding one that is washable in case they get anxious in the carrier. Having the feature on top so he could look up I think might have really calmed him. I don't know how, but, I think he liked it! This is also a great option if you have a cat that will refuse to go through the regular door.

Small size perfect for Bunny
By Roger on Mar 23, 2021
I got the smaller size of these carriers. I love that you can top load and unload, but that being said, the front door gets stuck on what appears to be excess plastic that was used in making the holes in which the door hinges slide into. So once the door is in there, when you squeeze to unlatch and open, you have to yank it pretty hard to open, which isn't good for skiddish rabbits. At least the top load feature is amazing! Personally, I can't see how a dog or cat will fit in the small size, unless it's a baby, or unless you don't want them to be able to fully turn around.

Great, lost a start for the door
By Julie on Mar 31, 2021
This crate seems sturdy and is the perfect size for my cat (~14 lbs). The only thing I don't like (which some of the other reviews mention) is that the door on the front is a little wobbly and doesn't stay open. I used a twist tie from the door to the side of the crate so that my cat can go in and out as he pleases when it's not in use. Not a huge deal but it would be a lot worse if my cat begins trying to break out when the door is closed.

Okay, but not as big as I thought
By Furmom on Mar 15, 2021
I ordered the 24 inch carrier for my 15 lb cat. He really didn't have as much room inside as I would have liked, or hoped/expected. He seemed kind of crammed in there and I felt bad. We have another carrier with similar exterior dimensions, but there's more room inside. Unfortunately that one doesn't have a top entry, otherwise we would just use that one. The top entry really is convenient, and it worked well. The top stayed open on its own. I was concerned about that based on other reviews, but we didn't have any issues there. It was easy to put together and seems like a good carrier, just not right for our big boy! We do have smaller cats, so we will keep it for them.

Has potential but not for us
By DianeL on Apr 10, 2021
This crate has a lot of potential if your pet is either way under 10 lbs or just pretty mellow about getting into a crate. My cat is 10.3 lbs and no way would he allow himself to be put inside. The top opening was too small to accommodate flailing limbs. The next size up that Frisco has offered by Chewy was way too big and suggested for a pet over 15 lbs.

Easy top load travel carrier
By AnnenRio on Mar 29, 2021
I bought this for long distance traveling with my cat. She got comfortable very quickly and stopped crying to settle down and sleep. The roominess of the carrier enable pd her to sit up, turn around and stretch which kept her happy and relaxed on what will be a fairly regular commute. My only suggestion for this carrier would be to pad the handle to make it more comfortable to carry.
