This is not 4 inches thick
I picked this scratcher over a cheaper one because it said it was 4 inches thick and that it would come with catnip. Neither of those things are true. It is less than 2 inches thick and it came with what appears to be a baggie of yellow/tan straw or hay.
My cat really liked to scratch it and lay on it. Buy when he decided to start chewing it, I had to take it away, as I was afraid he was eating it(he isn't lacking food).
Nothing but trash
This toy was destroyed, literally in pieces, within 2 days. Extremely disappointed. Waste of money. I might as well have given my cat the cardboard box the chewey shipment came in.
Curves make my cat more interested
The curved shape of this scratcher make my cat way more interested in scratching this than a flat shape. It comes with a generous amount of catnip, so I can use a little bit throughout the life of the scratcher. When it is all scratched up, it fits really easily into the cardboard recycling bins where I live.
My cats love it
My 2 cats (9 months old) love this scratcher! They do their nails, but also love to sit on it, play with their toys on/under the wave.
Would not buy again
Very disappointed with these scratchers. I know all scratchers break down from use. I know multiple cats increase the debris. However, within 2 days these scratchers were shredded into the middle and collapsed on the curves and in general a mess. It would have been better to give them the Chewy box rather than using these scratchers
I like it more than my cats
I bought this scratcher because I thought it looked better than the traditional flat ones. I also bought a flat one. Verdict is that the cats like the flat ones better than the wave.
They love it!
Both my cays love it! Gonma have to buy two next time so they dont fight over it! Been about 2 months and its starting to fall apart a bit but, thats what its for. So nice having a scratcher that you don't feel guilty throwing away after its destroyed!
wave cat scratcher
I've only had this about 10 days, and can't seem to get my male cat interested, even when I sprinkle cat nip on it. I rub his paws on it, when he starts using his scratching post, but no interest so far.
Fine, but arches are too high
Maybe this would be fine for a little tiny cat, but I have a big, 17 pound Maine Coon. He has a hard time standing on this and scratching it, so when he tries to scratch on the concave slope, the convex portion rises up into his belly. He doesn't even scratch the convex part. We have a different brand that's far less sloped, and it doesn't rise up when he scratches, so I wish this was more like that. They just need to make it less arched, I guess. But at least he scratches it, which can't be said about all the things I've bought him. And it stays in place, which is nice (apart from the vertical motion, I mean).
