Most toys are just too predictable for my boy. I have purchased so many toys over time that he gets bored with very quickly. He likes the unpredictable movement of this. He had one before but I gave it to a friend to try with her kitties and I decided to get him a new one. He had something similar with a butterfly on it and he killed that too quickly. He hasn't managed to destroy any one of these.
I cannot recommend this enough
All my 5 cats love this, however, my orange cat, it is his child. He carries it around on a daily basis and brings it everywhere with him like a security blanket. He jumps on the bed with it and will even play fetch with it. He is absolutely obsessed with it. All my other cats love to play with it too when I shake it around.
Never gets old, even for your old cat
This teaser requires almost no effort with its springy nature but can definitely get kitties of all ages intensely engaged. We can hear our 15 year old boy playing with it on his own upstairs so there's definitely a lot of appeal, even after years. 3 month old kitties love it too but I think it requires a little more skill than the larger stick type teasers... Once they're more confidently leaping and flipping this one will be a fave.
My Cat LOVES this Toy!
My cat loves teaser type toys in which she has to jump around and catch the object that is attached to the string and rod. After a while she tires from the toys. However her interest has not waned for this toy - she loves it. She gets a lot of exercise hunting and flipping up in the air to catch it. I ordered the product on a whim while I was ordering some cat food and I am very glad I did. Who knew she would literally flip for this toy.
Not the same as a real Cat Dancer
Our cats love this toy, but we've always had the Cat Dancer brand (I think it was the original). I didn't think there'd be a difference when it came time to order a new one, but these aren't the same. The arc on them makes them curve inward instead going a little bit outwards so the cat can actually play with it. We've tried uncurling the wire a bit, but it still doesn't bounce and isn't accessible to the cats the way the Cat Dancer version is. Sorry, it's a little hard to explain! Bummer because our cats love this type of toy.
A Sleeper!
Doesn't look like much, but OH! MY! Kitty just loves it and begs for playtime with it. Holding the "one stick" end, the wire moves in totally unexpected directions - much like a fly, butterfly, or bee. Captivating play for a cat. Can be coiled on itself for storage. Best interactive toy yet!
My cat LOVES and is OBSESSED with this
My cat is obsessed with this!! He won’t leave it alone and cries when we aren’t playing with it. Comparable to the “cat dancer” toy. Best few bucks I’ve spent on my cat. Prefers this over any other toy right now
My cat only liked it for a bit
This toy was recommended by a friend of mine since her cat loves it so I purchased it for my Mango. Unfortunately he was only interested in it for a couple of weeks and got bored of it.
favorite toy
I just think its funny that of the millions of dollars (jk) I have spent on cat toys, this...THIS is their favorite! maybe its because they love anything that looks like its not a cat toy...(oh did this fall on the floor? its my new favorite toy! please don't ever throw it away!) or maybe its because the wire can move in unexpected and erratic ways...which cats love. I usually hold one end and play with them with it like it's a string toy. they love it. my fingers smell very metallic after, but its worth it.
BAD EXPERIENCE
Unfortunately, I thought these were identical to The Original Cat Dancer toy, by Cat Dancer Products. THEY ARE NOT! These have highly-curved thick wire that is not user-friendly. If you try to straighten the wire, it forms itself into a complete loop that you can't straighten out or even use! I purchased 3 of these and asked for a refund. I agree with some others that this toy can be dangerous to cats. The Original Cat Dancer toy can be found on the web and ordered. Please don't fall for these.
