I buy a $20 toy they don't touch it and then I buy this $2 toy and they play with it literally everyday. You would think my cat was on crack when he had this toy. He runs around like crazy. My other cat chases the other end. I ordered several more because my cat likes to make sure there is total destruction, and he rips off the cardboard on this. The first toy has lasted over a month which is good considering how much he plays with it.
such a fun toy

This is one of the best cat toys I have ever purchased. I bought the first one years and years ago and was so happy to see one on CHEWY. I have 3 new kittens and they entertain themselves for 20 minutes at a time, many times through the day.
I have the toy closed in a drawer so that it hangs just above the floor. Every time one of the kittens walks by they whack it. Well made, if you can keep the kittens from chewing on the cardboard. We all love it and I gave my extra to my mobile vet for her cats to enjoy.
Good Simple Toy

Too Many of the string teasers have toy ends that are ridiculously heavy and either slam the poor cats and/or they fear them. These lighter ones with more spring and movement are actually better. Cats love them. This one would be better with a wand. I bought one that had a wand, wire and light yarn, and it's a feral's favorite. (I hope that one returns). She's only now learning how to play.
Best cat toy ever

My cats LOVE this toy. I bought a second one since they loved the first so much. It lasts a long time, despite it just being wire and paper. I have one cat that loves to play that goes nuts when I walk around the room with this, and another cat that is SO lazy but he gets up and plays when I bring this out (which is unlike him). DEFINITELY worth the $1.50 - a great way to keep your cats active.

Sometimes it's the simple things: little pieces of paper rolled up and threaded through a wire. My cat goes CRAZY over these toys. He's a fly catcher, so this mimics that motion of flying insects very well and he loves it. The paper bits get chewed up over time, but it's recyclable, and thankfully not too expensive to replace. Highly recommend.

I got one of these for my cat and one for my boyfriend's cats and they're all OBSESSED with it! The erratic movement drives them insane and they love it so much more than their previous favorite fleece string toy. I can't believe it's as cheap as it is for how much they all love it. I'm buying more for all of my friends' cats now.
I highly recommend this toy to any cats who like cardboard or string toys. For $1.65, it's worth trying!
My cats favorite toy
on Dec 21, 2020
My cat, Kiki, was a rescue. When we got her almost 3 years ago she came with a beat up version of this toy. I've looked in pet stores for a new one as the old wire was breaking to no avail. Finally found them here on Chewy and purchased 2. They arrived today. Kiki's eyes lit up when she saw this wire. She's running around doing flips trying to catch it! She also likes to take one end in her mouth and carry it around the house, we've even had her play fetch with it once!
This is probably the best cat toy ever, which is crazy because it's so simple!
These are NOT CAT DANCERS
on Dec 23, 2020
I have had cats all my life and Cat Dancers have ALWAYS been a favorite toy fir all of my cats, young and old. I purchased several of these since my cats wear them out. These are a cheap flimsy imitation. The wire is too long and too flimsy. The cardboard rolls are too long and too heavy for the cheap wire. It does not bounce and pull back the way it should. My cats who LOVE cat dancers would not play would not play with it. They pulled their old ratty cat dancer out.
Big hit but hard to use

Cats of course went WILD for this thing. However, the wire is bent into an almost complete circle, so holding one end and bouncing the other is kind of difficult. Cats ended up right underneath my hand as I couldn't get the end part anywhere other than directly under the end I was holding. My cats prefer teasers since they like the distance between me and the toy, making the toy seem more alive. When it is obvious I'm holding it and my hand is constantly right near what they are attacking, they get spooked. They know if they claw our skin it hurts, so they tend to avoid playing with anything that is near unprotected skin (under a blanket, however, all bets are off).

This silly toy is worth every penny. This wire toy is looped. However, I decided to deliberately straighten the wire as much as I possibly could. I couldn't get it to completely straighten out, but it is perfect enough now to play with it in a way that gets my cat to jump super high. It is fun to also drag the toy around to have my cat chase after it. It was the perfect Christmas present.
