  • Great deal

    By on

I have paid this much for crates much smaller. This is like a lion cage.... Just what I needed for my 10 month old bull mastiff shepherd cross. He can actually lay down flat in this crate. He loves it. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 star was the bending I had to do to the ends that were bent from shipping I assume..... It was fairly well packed but still some bent ends that had to be opened or moved with plyers to be able to put it together.. But still a great deal...every other place I have seen this was $140 to $180 so $99 Is a great deal. And I love Chewy... I buy all my dog and cat food here and now even supplements for my horses.. Highly recommend Chewy!

  • Perfect size

This was the perfect size for my female German shepherd and she went right in when we set it up. It's nice and tall and she can lie down or sit up straight in whatever way she wants. It's the perfect size for her so she can move around and get in a comfortable position but will keep her in when we are gone. • This thing is YUGE!

This crate is YUGE! Its size exceeded my expectations in a good way. All panels are sturdy, and the finished product is GREAT! I have a few words of advice. If you're a person of smaller stature, It would probably be a good idea to have a reliable person on stand by or helping you with the assembly process. As it does come in a lot of large pieces, and your roommate will most likely have their head up their BUTT and not respond to you yelling for HELP once you've pinned three of your fingers in between the panels on the final step of assembly. In excruciating pain you'll panic and then eventually pull them out forcefully and deal with the throbbing pain. But all in all, this is a great, strong This crate is YUGE! • Great crate, even for a lamb!

    By on

My son currently raises a show lamb for our local county fair. We needed some way to be able to transport him to different places (local vet if needed, to get sheared, etc.) This is not what he lives in. We have a 25 x 25 foot stall in our barn where he stays. But this works perfect so we can keep him safe when we take him places. I already had a nice trailer so I just strap this down, put him in, and off we go. He was really nervous the first time he went for a shearing in it. But we just took him to the county fair 2 days ago and it went perfect. So I know most people on here buy this for their dogs, but our lamb is 107 lbs and it is even a little big for him. • Would recommend slightly

The product is extremely large and will accommodate a very large dog but it is built cheap. When it came to me, the bottom bars were bent, making assembly pretty difficult until I bent them back. When you first assemble the crate, it seems awful, horribly cheap, impossible to assemble, and not sturdy. However, once it's all together properly, it actually satisfies all concerns. IMPORTANT NOTE: Be sure the pattern at the bottom of the cage matches all around and you won't have any problems with the doors being upside down. The door latches will make you think they're upside down until you figure out they protrude for a reason. Has a hard plastic bottom so it will be noisy if nails are long. Two giant doors are built well. The doors are surprisingly sturdy and don't lean. THE BAD PART: Not easily portable! Cage does not fold! It has to be disassembled and that will take about 15 min. RECOMMENDED ADDITIONS: To silence cage noise, purchase one of the 4 inch thick cooling pads that fully cover the plastic bottom. That helps prevent rattle of the panels because it applies pressure to all walls to prevent shaking. Most importantly, cover the metal latches in some sort of rubber or padding to prevent them from rattling. If you do both, the cage is pretty quiet. • Puppy Palace

I'm giving this crate 3 stars, mostly for the fact at how big it is. I currently have a lab and this is my first dog. He grew quicker than I anticipated he would. We had a smaller kennel and he quickly outgrew that one which is what led me to buy this one. Positives: it's HUGE, it has double doors, so you can put the kennel in a corner and still be able to get your dog in and out. Negatives: It's a pain in the butt to assemble (it's a 2 person job to put it together), make sure you assemble this crate in the room you plan to keep it in (I learned this lesson the hard way), the top and side pieces of the kennel do not line up, so it took some finagling to get this thing together.

  • Excellent Giant Breed Crate

    By on

It definitely takes two people to assemble this crate, or a lot of creative leverage. This crate has very nice 'safe' coated wire, strong and well-designed. Latches are smooth and secure. The plastic tray on the bottom is supported by a wire frame underneath so it has some give for comfort (no bed yet, each one has been destoryed within minutes). The tray can also be removed by sliding out for convenience. So.. We finally have a crate for our 90-lb American Pit Bull x French Mastiff puppy! He can turn around without having to curl up, he can lay down flat and stretch a little. He has just enough 'extra' space for food, water and lounging with a chew toy. This is great for huge dogs.

  • Large crate works

    By on

This is the largest crate that Chewy sells, with the next size down being too small for our needs. We have a Shepherd/Husky mix, only 16 months old, but already weighs almost 70 lbs., so we wanted a large enough crate for her to have plenty of room to move around. This cage is a great length for her to lay down and stretch out perfectly; with the height being a little too high but we felt it better to have the extra height rather than not enough. It works out to be a little larger than a child's step 3 outside play house, so you will need to make sure you have plenty of room if putting inside. • HUGE but very nice

    By on

We got this crate for our mastiff puppy, she's about 9 months old and over 110 lbs but actually looks small in this crate. She can fully stand up, move around and has plenty of space to lay down. We wanted to make sure this would last until she is full grown and I have no doubt it will be fine. I would recommend putting a tape measure on where you want to put the crate because I knew it was big I didn't actually tape it off and it was bigger then I expected. Also it really does help to have 2 people assemble, it would be very hard with one. The shipping was SUPER fast and the CS was great when I asked a question on live chat! Definitely recommend this crate and company.

  • Unusual use, Perfect!

    By on

I bought this to hold my kitty while we aren't home so she stays out of trouble (peeing in my bed....) We made sure she has no physical reasons for inappropriate behavior first... It is perfect for adding a 2nd floor, however you decide to do it, and is roomy enough for litter pan and everything else she needs until we get home. I have been unable to find anything else as cost effective and perfect for this. BTW.. Kitty is 16 so really doesn't move much anyway! I put it together myself. Really wasn't that hard. Nothing bent from shipping....Great crate for a great price!
