Help protect your best bud from fleas with FRONTLINE Gold for Dogs Flea & Tick Treatment. This formula helps kill adult fleas, flea eggs, flea larvae, and ticks after regular use. It’s formulated with three active ingredients—fipronil, (S)-methoprene, and pyriproxyfen—to help disrupt the flea life cycle and fend off future flea infestations. Plus, it’s simple to apply, and designed to be waterproof and last for one month. Enjoy walks and hikes with your canine companion without worrying about nasty pests.

Key Benefits
  • Formulated with three active ingredients to help disrupt the flea cycle.
  • Helps kill adult fleas, flea eggs, flea larvae, chewing lice, and ticks.
  • Helps kill flea eggs and flea larvae to help inhibit future infestations.
  • Simple to apply.
  • Designed for a waterproof protection.
Precautions

For external use only. Do not use on dogs or puppies under 8 weeks of age or weighing less than 5 pounds. Sensitivities may occur after using ANY pesticide product for dogs. If signs of sensitivity occur bathe your dog with mild soap and rinse with large amounts of water. If signs continue, consult a veterinarian immediately. Dogs may experience some temporary irritation at the site of product application. Consult a veterinarian before using this product on medicated, debilitated, pregnant, lactating/nursing or aged dogs. If your dog is exhibiting signs of and/or is being treated for skin dermatitis, talk to your veterinarian before applying any topical flea and tick control product.

Important Information

Fleas rise to the top of your pet's coat as they die, so consider it a triumph if you start seeing more fleas at first, after treating your pet. If you’re still seeing fleas after application, it may be because your pet has picked up new fleas from the environment, which may include other pets, surfaces and outdoor areas. It may take up to 30 days to break the entire flea life cycle. Additionally, you should also treat sources of new fleas (i.e., carpet, yard, etc.) to ensure complete flea control.

    Did NOT work

By MousiesMom on Nov 15, 2021

I bought this, as it said it was for xl needs. I have a great dane/golden retriever mix (130lb). I administered it this past Thu, she is STILL chewing herself raw. I will not use this brand again. Sadly, I thought Frontline was a more dependable brand.

Don't throw your $$ away, send it to me instead!

By Will on Jan 10, 2021

Maybe they make weaker fleas in your state, but down here in Texas, ours are tough. And this supposedly improved version of my long-time favorite is just about as effective against them as a chopped liver rubdown. Frontline Gold isn't a pharmaceutical preventative; it's more like an appetizer for blood-thirsty fleas. I keep checking my mailbox for a thank you card from the thousands of microscopic carnivores that feasted on my poor pooch in his new Gold sauce. I bought a three-pack, used the second applicator three weeks after the first, then tossed the third dose in the trashcan. Chewy's price is, as usual, one of the lowest, but don't throw away even that bargain amount. Spend one dollar Maybe they make weaker fleas in your state, but down here in Texas, ours are tough. Spend one dollar of the money you'll save on a pair of tweezers and sit there for thirty days, picking the fleas off your pup by hand. Then send the rest of your cash to me, because I won't waste a nickel of it. Believe me, you and your dog will both sleep better. And so will I. … more

    Must have for pets!

By Michelle on Mar 8, 2021

With four animals in the house, and all neighbors having animals, frontline is a MUST! We have no issues with fleas or ticks in our house. I also love that chewy has allowed me to automatically re purchase these every 6 months so I don’t forget!

It keeps my dog and my house pest-free.

By Sandy on Feb 5, 2021

My Ellie Puppy is an 8-yr old Great Pyrenees mix and with her long hair it's hard to find fleas and ticks in her fur. And she hates the chewables--won't take them even cut up fine and wrapped in cream cheese. So the topicals are the only way to go. She hates that, too, but with the offer of a nice big cheese nugget, will permit me to apply it.

    Didn't work at all

By Andrea on Jun 16, 2020

I have used Frontline for years and been pleased with the results, but this particular purchase was a waste. Not sure if it was just the box I received or the "Gold" edition, but we applied this twice and it seemed like there were even more fleas.
