Fleas rise to the top of your pet's coat as they die, so consider it a triumph if you start seeing more fleas at first, after treating your pet. If you’re still seeing fleas after application, it may be because your pet has picked up new fleas from the environment, which may include other pets, surfaces and outdoor areas. It may take up to 90 days to break the entire flea life cycle. Additionally, you should also treat sources of new fleas (i.e., carpet, yard, etc.) to ensure complete flea control.

Bought a 6 month supply at a wholesale retailer and wanted to come here with a warning from my vet. PNW flea populations are growing immunity to this formula because it has been around for so long. Been treating my cats for 3 months and while I do believe it has kept it under relative control and I had yet to see any fleas myself (hence 2 stars instead of 1), both my cats are still covered in miliary dermatitis and the vets just found fleas on both today. I’m not happy at all. Going to switch to Revolution at my vet’s recommendation.
Don't like the greasy spot on kitty's back neck, but the protection works. Itching stops within a short time and I don't get flea bites from petting my cat. Never see any ticks. She is an indoor cat but mingles with the dogs. And on a rare occasion, will run out the door but come back within an hour. So, I never need to worry about her bringing home unwanted bugs while using Frontline. It is a little pricey, but I feel like it is necessary.
This didn't work on my cat. He has really thick fur, but I think we got a good application on his skin. Unfortunately, he still has a lot of fleas. We'll wait a month and try again, but this is disappointing.
This was in the box where all the heavy stuff was thrown on it. I would recommend for future shipments to put in a small cardboard box so it does not get damaged during shipment. Box was opened but the individual packs were fine.
I adopted two outside cats covered in fleas, used this, and within hours most of the fleas were dead. I have 4 cats, one of which has a flea allergy. We’ve been using this medicine for over 5 months now (before we used Revolution) and it seems to be doing the job- no allergy flare up or flea dirt. Would recommend.
I have 2 indoor cats that I’ve had for 6 years and for some reason this year they both got fleas which they’ve never had. I have been using this on both cats for 3 months and even after this, cleaning, spraying the house, flea baths, etc they have live fleas. Giving cats a bath is not enjoyable I need something that actually works.
ordered 8 count frontline plus. Received 2 of the 4 count packets which was ok. What was not was that both pakets had been opened. Whoever did that didn't even bother to cloth the packets correctly. They left the little side flaps hanging out. Will not use products that have been tampered with. Although the doses themselves appear in tact, I have no idea if they were swapped out for doses that had expired. Will not order from Chewy again. The button below asks if I would recommend this product to a friend. Yes I would but not through Chewy so I am selecting the no button.
I have two cats and I applied this product to each of them on same day. One cat had no issues. My other cat developed a severe allergic reaction. She licked herself so much she licked off a good bit of her hair and had several sores on her body from the licking, not to mention all the scratching she did. After about a month, the product worked itself out of her system and she is okay now. Her hair has returned. I purchased this product mainly bc it offered tick protection, and as far as I know, the product worked as described, but due to the allergic reaction, I can't use it on one of my cats. I will use the remaining doses on the cat that isn't allergic. Of note, I have used Revolution and Cheristin on this cat with no issues.
I have used Frontline previously with my dog so i was not disappointed when Frontline for cats was used for my new cat. The product is easy to apply to the cat and is effective.
Once telling my vet that I used Frontline Plus to treat fleas on my cats, their response was to stop wasting money. Over the past few years there has been a heightened resistance of fleas to Frontline Plus which makes it hardly, if at all, effective. This would explain why, after 3 months we are still fighting live fleas on our cats between spraying the entire house, monthly flea treatments on all animals, incessant vacuuming & cleaning, and multiple flea baths. I treated my dog with a different monthly, oral flea treatment and there have been Zero flea signs on her. Needless to say, the cats have now been changed to the same brand of monthly flea treatment and we will not be purchasing Frontline Plus again.
