  • Bought in October still have fleas in January

    By on

I got a stray kitten with fleas. I read you could use this on kittens and bought it. I also have another adult cat. Both cats have been treated per label recommendations. To be honest I used more than recommended. I haven't seen a decrease in fleas. I vacuum regularly and use a flea comb. I am in the mid west. I do not recommend this product. It worked in the 90's when I was a kid which is why I looked it up in the first place but now it is not effective.

  • Ok not great

Sprayed a dog with this and within a week she was loaded with fleas again. Seems to work for a few days. Completely washes off after baths. 500 ml (17 ounce) bottle would be about 5 treatments for a 50 lb dog. Really have to saturate them with it. Very expensive for almost insignificant temporary results. Wouldn't buy again.

  • Finally something that works!

I really love this spray on treatment. I use it between monthly treatments when I notice my cats itching. I'm especially happy to spray it on a cotton ball to apply to kittens as young as two days old! Such a relief to know the kittens are protected so young rather than have to catch up to an existing problem! I wait until Momma goes to eat so kittens have 20 minutes or so to air out & have had really great success!

  • Not as effective as previously experienced

I am not sure if Frontline changed the formulation or if the fleas (which the squirrels are carrying) are just becoming immune to this but I used this on my dogs in the past and it worked quite well so was expectiing the same results this year.. When I brought one of my dogs to the vet last week - a flea jumped onto the table during the exam. I told the dr what I was using, she had a bottle right there in her exam room and she pulled up the instructions - it says that you have to apply 2 pumps for every pound of dog! My dogs are all over 70 lbs and basically that would be dousing one dog with the whole bottle..waaay too many chemicals. She suggested I switch to an oral medication for all I am not sure if Frontline changed the formulation or if the fleas (which the squirrels are carrying) are just becoming immune to this but I used this on my dogs in the past and it worked quite well so was expectiing the same results this year.. • Fell Short

I totally overestimated the effectiveness of this product, as my frame of reference was with their typical flea applications. I sprayed my dog at least three times in less than a week, and I continued to fine numerous fleas crawling on him. I later ordered the traditional application that you apply on the neck and within a day, all fleas were gone.

  • Works great

    By on

My dog recently had an infestation of fleas. I tried shampoos and different sprays, none of which worked. I saw this and thought it was a little pricey but I gave it a try. This stuff really works. I sprayed a little on his tail and within seconds I could see @ least 6 fleas come to the surface of his coat and jump ship. It's been 2 weeks since I applied and they have not returned. I am very happy with this product and highly recommend.
