  • So glad I tried this

    By on

All my dogs love this broth! I didn't want to purchase wet food for all three dogs as it was getting to pricey so I switched them to this and they love it! I warm a little up in the microwave and then put it on the food and let it soak in for a little bit. Its great for my French Bulldog because he doesn't chew his food and this makes it soft! I saw a lot of reviews that the packaging was damaged when they got it but I've never had that happen.

I bought this hoping it would encourage Brandy to eat her dog food. I have tried everything else and am desperate. Brandy belonged to my parents, they both passed away 16 week apart so she came to live with us. We had a dog named Mandy and these two were buddies. As much as she missed her mom and dad, she now had a 24 hour companion. Mandy died on February 5th and this little dog is once again heartbroken. In just over two years she lost her mom, her dad, moved to a new home and lost her companion. She just doesn’t eat like she did. I’m sure this is a great product but it doesn’t work for us. I threw the first container away and still have one here. Chewy is the best company I have ever had the I bought this hoping it would encourage Brandy to eat her dog food. • Convenient & they love it!

    By on

One of my dogs is really picky and wants nothing to do with dry kibble softened in water but she loves this broth, cold or warm! It's so much quicker than mixing wet food into her kibble too. The other four dogs gobbled it up also but they aren't so picky. We had no packaging issues either, both broths came wrapped very securely in air packing.

  • Mine didn't like it

    By on

I have one picky eater, and one extremely food motivated pup who will eat just about anything. I had hopes that they would eat their dry food with more enthusiasm with the Fruitables Chicken Broth, but neither one was interested. Maybe it is this particular flavor, but it looks like I won't be purchasing this product for them in the future.

  • My dogs would not touch their food

    By on

My dogs wanted nothing to do with their food when I put this on it. I will not be buying it again. Also the packaging says you have to use it within 10 days of opening it. So don't get the big container unless you will be using a lot every day.

  • Great for topping off food or adding extra flavor!

    By on Top 500 Contributor

I used this this morning for one of our dogs and he went crazy over it! He's older and his plain food seemed to be a bit dry for him so I got this to add to his usual food and he loves it! I'll definitely be ordering more!

  • Finicky Eater

    By on

We have a German Shepherd who is a very finicky eater. We started adding the chicken broth to her food and have been very happy with the results. She has stopped walking away from her food and is much more interested now.

  • Not impressed.

I was excited see these low sodium broths made without onions, so purchased three flavors -- chicken, bacon, and beef--to enhance our cocker spaniel's homemade food. He is on heart meds and requires a low sodium diet. I used the bacon one first which was kind of bland and didn't offer much enticement. It didn't last very long in the frig and had to throw most of it away. In the meantime, the chick broth was stored in an open shelf closet and had a slow leak. I could smell something off I there and finally discovered what had happened. I had to move a cabinet to clean behind it along with everything else around it. That was the second carton I had to throw away. So far, a waste of money. Will more than likely stick to my own recipes. … more

  • Cats love it!

    By on

Shockingly all six of my cats love this broth! Three of the six I wasn't worried about and I expected one of mine who completely refuses to eat wet food, water softened dry food, and many kinds of dry food alone to turn his nose up at this but he likes it!! I mainly bought it for our two girls, my baby who had a seizure three weeks ago who I found out had a bladder infection after $300 worth of tests (with no answers as to why she had an episode) and my mom's girl who has a bladder stone that we can't afford to have removed at the moment. The girls both would gobble up the broths of the wet food I was mixing in but would leave most of the meaty pieces so this was an amazing alternative! Shockingly all six of my cats love this broth! All of my cats now have this in their diet so I don't have to constantly monitor my mom's cat so she doesn't eat dry food alone (she has more flare ups where she has trouble urinating and drips bloody pee all over the place when she doesn't have enough fluids in her diet) and I know it's also better for the rest of them for the same reason. Chewy is the cheapest place I've found it so far, I just wish their free shipping wasn't only on expensive orders. The only negative I have so far is the way the products were shipped, I ordered two of these as well as 2 other supplements and one bag of treats of the same brand and two bags of cat litter, they were all shipped together in the same box so the 28 and 26 pound bags of litter were crushing up the broths. Luckily none of them busted open but it makes me leery of ordering all together again. … more
