He loves it
My dog tended to overheat in fluffy beds and would end up sleeping on the floor. With this bed, he doesn’t overheat and stays on his bed all night. I love the material. It’s very easy to clean.
Love Furhaven beds
Our old dog stretched out and promptly fell asleep. I am thankful for the sewn on handle. Easy to lift.
Noisy Fabric & Disintegrated Inside ONE MONTH After Purchase
A few issues here; First one is that this fabric is very noisy when your dog moves and shifts on it - like running your hand across a textured plastic of sorts. Second issue was that my dog preferred the floor over this bed - and that was pretty surprising. Third issue was when I removed it to wash it, the inside "waterproof" interior of the cover had disintegrated and stuck to the foam, separating the interior in large cracks from the cover. My dog is old, a bit stinky, has a very thick coat, hip issues, and has difficulty regulating his body temperature. He's got dementia as well and is a licker and we were hoping for a bed that would work for all of his needs. This got stained with his licks and sweat quite quickly (why i pulled the cover off to wash it). And it ended up in the garbage after only one month. I'm guessing this was a manufacturer's issue but i'm also guessing i'm not the only customer who's had this problem. Disappointed to say the least.
it’s okay, definitely not cooling
In terms of a bed, this seems to be a good memory foam type bed. But the description says it’s cooling and has a gel portion. The bed I received is just memory foam and is definitely not cooling. My dog sleeps on it but the doesn’t care for it. Term of comfort, it’s good. But it gets very warm. I had to put a cooling mat over top of the bed to make it so he’ll actually use it. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend as a cooling bed.
Kitty Has Not Used it Yet
Big disappointment for me, even though I had read other reviews claiming some cats ignored this I still wanted to give it a try. I have a stray, sort of feral kitty that I really can't bring in to my indoor cats. I pity him so much in the blistering heat of summer. He hangs around my front porch and I set up a home for him there. So, I wanted to get him a cooling bed. He has ignored this so far. I've had it out for him for a over a month. I put it where he lies on the cool concrete. It's sheltered and dry but he would rather lie on the bare concrete. Oh, well. I'll hold on to it to see if he changes his mind, but, sadly does not work for me and this particular cat. It is well made so I hate to give one star so I gave it two.
ABSOLUTE GREAT ITEM FOR FUR BABIES!
Had never tried anything like this before but our summer has been in the high 90s and triple digits being one of the hottest summer we've ever had. Got it from my cats. They weren't real sure at first what it was till they laid on it and then they wouldn't share so now I'm going to have to get a couple more for next summer so they don't have to share on those hot days. I have central air, even at that I could not even imagine wearing a fur coat!
Great Bed for Hot Weather
This bed has become a favorite for my dog! She usually doesn’t lay in her dog beds often but this one she’s loving. I’ve seen her using it multiple times a day and flocks to it constantly with the warm weather. It’s lightweight and has a handle to make carrying it around convenient. The material did get punctured already but I feel that’s just normal for any wear and tear a item you buy for your dog would endure. I 100% recommend this bed and will probably buy another when the time comes.
Would Recommend
The bed seems to be a worthwhile purchase. Our dog likes it and it’s easy to clean and maintain. I can’t tell that it’s cooling just by touching it but our dog has laid on it during those hotter days. It’s soft and seems to be comfortable. As long as our girl is happy then that’s all that matters.
Indoor/Outdoor?
This mat works great for my outside cats but I don't know if it's waterproof even though it says it's for outside. The cover is removable and washable, but the cushion is only supposed to be wiped with minimal moisture, so I don't know if it can be left out in rain. Otherwise I'm really happy with mats that 2 or 3 cats can spread out on. I ordered the large.
Pet Cooling Bed
This was for my outdoor cats who sleep on a chair outdoors that has a soft mat on it. No matter what I tried they wouldn't go on it. I put it in several places. totally avoided it. Even the indoor cats didn't go on it. sniffed and walked away. I put them on it, they jumped off. It's not comfortable enough. It's like a stiff chair pad. Maybe for a heavier animal but not a cat that 's 15 lbs and this was the small one.
