It's fantastic
I've had a hammock-style blanket for years now, and it's better than nothing, for sure -- but it slips and slides, even though I've anchored it with the seat belts and every other way I could think of (bungees and webbing sewn on). This one is a lot more expensive, but wow, is it solid (yet packable). It's nice to have a sturdy surface that extends all the way to the back of the front seat, there's no more slipping and sliding, as the whole thing stays perfectly put. I didn't need to add anything to anchor it, it just stays put. I drive a chevy volt, by the way. Very happy with this purchase.
Best pet seat cover ever!
I have a 2020 Dodge Durango with captain seats. I was looking for something that would be comfortable and durable for 3 dogs. This cover is better than I expected! We love it!! Highly recommend
Emma Likes This Much Better!
I had previously owned a Ford F-150 and would fold the seats up so she could just sit/lay/stand on the floor. Well, the new Tundra has storage under the seat. So, about a year or so ago, I purchased (not from Chewy) a "seat" for my 12-year old husky (Emma) to go in my new Tundra. It had a lip on the edge of the seat, but she still felt like she was going to fall out of the seat; it was like she was trying to hang on. This one, pics included, covers the leg areas and is sturdy enough such that she does not feel like she can fall. She likes this one much better; so well worth the money.

This is so wonderful for my dog, Zoe! No more falling off the seat. You can tell how secure she feels riding in the car now. I love this!!!
Perfect for large dogs
I had a different type of hammock but was looking for something with a sturdy bottom layer to support my two 90 lb German Shepherds. This hammock stays put when they jump into the car unlike the old one I had. They seem to have more room and don’t look like they are squished. I also like that the panel between the front seats is made of mesh so the air vents aren’t blocked. The material is fairly easy to clean. I usually put a sheet or towel down as the black fabric tends to get hot in the sun. Overall I am happy with this product. If there was one thing I could ask to improve it would be to add fabric to cover the back of the front seats and to add a small piece that fold over the sides of the backseat.

Large vehicles only
It is a plus that this seat protector has a carry bag. However, unless you are purchasing this for a van or large vehicle, it doesn't fit well. We have a sedan. One hook was missing when we received it, but we were able to work around that by adding another hook. If you need to move the front seats for any reason, the pad moves too. Although it has a wide base, it is flimsy and relies on the support of the clips on the front seat head rests for counter support. Safety strips need to be added to provide traction to keep your dog from slipping. It does not accommodate for uneven seats - cup holders that flip up/down.

Easy to install, sturdy. Only thing I would change is to put flaps on the ends to cover the sides of the seats.
Great for travel
I bought this so my senior dogs could be buckled in and have more room in the back seat. The boards that go across the leg space of the back seat seem sturdy, and held up to my two 50lbs dogs. I paired this with seatbelts (not included) so they would stay put. The barrier to the front seats is my favorite part. The straps were a bit confusing to install, so I was glad I watched the instructional video. All in all, this made my road trip with the dogs much easier and comfortable.
