Give weary pets a place to rest with the FurHaven NAP Ultra Plush Orthopedic Deluxe Cat & Dog Bed w/Removable Cover. Filled with a supportive and cushioning convolute foam, otherwise known as “egg crate” foam, the unique material helps to evenly distribute your pet’s weight while alleviating the painful pressure on his muscles and joints. It’s topped with a silky-soft faux fur that he’ll love to snuggle up on, and the bonus of the foam core is that it keeps him warm in the winter and cool in the summer. Great for senior and disabled pets, the “step-on” design allows them to easily mount without the need to jump.

My dog is a 60lb border collie mix. He has turned up his nose at a lot of beds. He won't even try them. We got this bed because at 12 years old, he is showing signs of arthritis. When I pulled it out of the box, he immediately sniffed at it. The second I set it down, he climbed up and laid down on it. Maybe Chewy has added "dog-nip" to it! :) We are VERY happy the dog likes it, and that he has a soft place to lay down this winter.
Ordered 3 fur furhaven beds. 2 came compressed. This one came loose. Folded and pinned down under heavy items. The foam is fully ruined. It won't go back to its normal shape or fullness. Immediately a hunk of trash that will do my older dog no good. I got a thicker ortho bed for his crate because his joints need support. This will do nothing for him. Waited for nothing.
This bed has worked out well for inside our pup's crate. She seems to feel regal in her crate, with this fluffy bed. The downfall is the cover. It's soft to the touch and doesn't soil easily, though inside it is my concern. When I took the cover off to wash it after a few months, this [photo] is what I found inside. The dark inner lining of the synthetic material sheds and leaves a LOT of debris in the egg crate foam. My dog is blonde. The dark area of the egg crate is the depressions filled with shed cover debris. The light area at the top is the debris that had been [hand] cleaned, pulling out all the debria, depression-by-depression. The lower right corner is what had been removed from the egg crate, thus far. It ended up being a lot, and I felt concerned that my dog is sleeping on top of and breathing all those loose fibers. So yes, it's a great foam bed, but I'm trying to find a cover that is better quality and won't shed poly-plastic materials like this one does. Until that gets addressed by the manufacturer, I wouldn't recomend this dog bed.
